Man allegedly rams into police cruiser after damaging cars in NY: police
VALLEY STREAM, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man is accused of driving his car into a police cruiser with officers inside in Valley Stream on Tuesday, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
Police said Shawn Maraj, 31, was seen damaging cars along West Valley Stream Boulevard on multiple occasions. When officers arrived around 10 p.m., Maraj allegedly got into his 2018 Honda Civic and rammed into their police cruiser, according to authorities.

Police said Maraj is accused of crashing into the cruiser several times, injuring two officers.
Maraj allegedly drove across a lawn and crashed into a fence and bush to run from the officers, according to authorities. Police said he was arrested and charged with assault, attempted assault, criminal mischief and reckless endangerment.
He's expected to be arraigned on Wednesday.
