VNEA State 8-ball Championship breaks on Erie's bayfront
The biggest 8-ball tournament in the state is taking place in Erie this weekend.
Nearly 200 tables are set up at the Bayfront Convention Center for the VNEA State 8-ball Championship.

The weekend will be filled with singles and teams competitions to be crowned champions and win cash prizes.
The co-director said many players grew up playing 8-ball, which can be a challenging game.

'It's a strategic game especially played on the smaller tables. The balls are a little bit more clustered and it's a thinking game,' said Shayne Morrow, co-director of the VNEA PA State 8-ball Tournament.
Morrow said you travel far to see an event like this and recommends spectators come and enjoy the game.
