SHEBOYGAN – Snow is expected to hit the city again as early as Friday afternoon, following a full day of wintry weather and a snow emergency already this week.
The city announced it will lift the snow emergency at 3 p.m. Thursday, but the area could see more snow starting Friday afternoon and continuing into Saturday, according to the National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan office. There is a 79% chance of snow, perhaps up to 4 inches, according to predictions from early morning Feb. 13. NWS said there is still uncertainty around snow accumulation.
NWS recommends travelers continue to check for forecast updates, especially if they have weekend travel plans.
Steady snow hit the region Wednesday, accumulating to more than 4 inches in some areas of the city. Sheboygan Area School District canceled after-school activities yesterday and parking restrictions went into effect at 6 a.m. Thursday morning to assist with snow removal.
