SCC, SPEA discuss enhancing school life and educational outcomes
This visit was part of the committee's plans for this session, aimed at understanding how the authority is working to improve school life and education in the emirate. Sheikha Ali Al Naqbi, the Chairperson of the Committee, led the delegation, which included committee members Dr. Ahmed Saleh Al Naqbi, Kaltham Saif Al Tunaiji, Moza bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, and Youssef Mohammed Al Mazrouei, along with Huda Al Hammadi, the Committee Secretary, and Dr. Islam Al Shiwi, a Media Expert. They met with Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashimi, who is the Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, and Ali Ahmed Al Hosani, the Director General, along with other important staff members. During the meeting, the Authority explained its role in managing private education in Sharjah, overseeing private schools, and evaluating their performance. They also talked about their partnerships and initiatives designed to improve the quality of education. The Authority shared its vision of providing excellent education and encouraging a culture of lifelong learning. The discussion covered several important topics, such as how to improve education quality in private schools, support for teachers, the emirate's education goals, monitoring school fees, and fostering better communication between parents and schools. They also discussed how to use technology in education and talked about the positive results of a program called 'Itqan,' which has shown improvements in local schools. The committee emphasized the need to promote national and cultural values in schools, support local teachers in private education, and educate parents on how they can help their children succeed academically. The committee praised various initiatives launched by the Authority, including programs like 'Proud to be a Teacher' and 'We Rise in Arabic,' which aim to enhance the educational environment in Sharjah. At the end of the visit, the committee expressed its support for the Authority's efforts to achieve its goals and work together to improve private education quality in Sharjah, aligning with the emirate's vision of providing high-quality education that competes on both local and international levels.

SCC Committee visits Sharjah Education Academy
The visit comes as part of the committee's plans for the second regular session of the eleventh legislative term, with the aim of reviewing the academy's efforts in developing education and training in the emirate. Supporting educational institutions The visit is part of the efforts of the Education Committee of the Consultative Council to support educational institutions in the Emirate of Sharjah, identify the challenges they face, and work to overcome them to achieve the emirate's vision of being a leading educational hub at the regional level. The visit was headed by Sheikha Ali Al Naqbi, Chairperson of the Committee, in the presence of Committee members Dr. Ahmed Saleh Al Naqbi, Committee Rapporteur; Kaltham Saif Al Tunaiji; Sheikha Khalfan Al Dhain Al Naqbi; and Yousef Mohammed Al Mazrouei. SEA's four tracks During the visit, the Academy's most prominent achievements and strategic goals in developing education and training were presented, as Khawla Al Hosani provided a detailed explanation of the Academy's four tracks, academic programmes, professional development, scientific research, and Sharjah government nurseries. Al Hosani indicated that SEA was established in 2020 as a training body that aims to develop education through three main tracks, academic, training, and research. Al Hosani also emphasised the Academy's role in supporting future readiness by qualifying teachers to face the challenges of the twenty-first century, and empowering them through advanced and accredited training programmes. Global Partnerships Al Hosani touched on the global partnership that the Academy has concluded with prestigious educational institutions such as the University of Helsinki and the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, in addition to cooperation with Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) in training teachers and improving the quality of education in the emirate. The Academy's efforts in the field of scientific research were also reviewed, as it is working to launch the first research study in cooperation with international universities, and plans to issue a research journal that links educational research and educational practices. Developing the educational environment for children Maitha Al Shamsi, Director of Sharjah Government Nurseries, indicated that the Academy's nurseries operate with a 100% Emiratisation rate, with a focus on developing the educational environment for children and providing high-quality services. Al Shamsi stressed the importance of early detection of educational and health challenges in children, and cooperation with Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services in this field. During the visit, a number of visions and inquiries were presented by members of the Education Committee in the field of the Academy's specialisation, aiming to contribute to enhancing the quality of education and serving the community more broadly. At the end of the visit, Sheikha Al Naqbi, Chairperson of the Committee, praised SEA efforts in developing education and training, stressing the importance of cooperation between the Academy and SCC to achieve common goals in serving the educational community in the emirate.
