UAE: 4 residents win a total of Dh390,000 in Big Ticket draw
Luck came knocking in an unexpected way during during Big Ticket's Series 273 draw, where a total of Dh390,000 was awarded to four lucky participants.
From homemakers to hard-working professionals, the winners all shared perseverance and belief that one day, their moment will come.
Among the winners is 48-year-old Sheikhnasseb Sh Babasahe, a local housewife who has called UAE home for the past 38 years. She has been purchasing Big Ticket entries every month for the last three years—entirely on her own. And during the latest Big Ticket draw, she won Dh110,000.
'When I received the winning call, I was overjoyed,' she said. She also shared that her daughter-in-law helped her with the purchases.
'English isn't my first language, so my daughter-in-law helps me with the purchase process. She buys the ticket and lets me pick the number," she said.
With a dream of owning a car one day, she's determined to keep trying her luck. 'I haven't saved enough yet, but this win brings me one step closer. I'll continue buying Big Ticket entries until I win the grand prize. That's the dream.'
Another Dh100,000 winner is 35-year-old Suhail Ahmed, a brand promoter from Karnataka, who has been living in Dubai for the past seven years. Since 2018, he has been purchasing Big Ticket entries every month on his own.
'I was actually asleep when the call came in,' he recalled. 'Most mornings, my phone is on silent—but by God's luck, the ringer was on that day, and I didn't miss it. I am so happy."
With plans to buy a car and something special for his wife, he says this win feels like a blessing. 'I'll definitely keep buying more tickets,' he added. 'My advice to others is simple: save up a little, and go for it.'
For 65-year-old Shofiul Azam, a painting labourer from Bangladesh who won Dh80,000, the win was not just a personal triumph but a shared celebration. He's been purchasing Big Ticket entries each month along with his brother and close friends for the past three years.
'I'm honestly so happy,' said the expat who has been lived in Abu Dhabi for 33 years. 'When I first got the call, I thought it might be a scam—but when I went and played the game, it began to feel real.'
He shared that the prize money will be divided among his brother and friends. Whatever remains, he plans to put toward completing the renovation of his family home.
'I'll definitely continue buying Big Ticket entries,' he added. 'My message to others is simple: keep trying your luck. One day, it could be your turn.'
Another lucky winner was 42-year-old Shaiju Karayat, a sales executive from Kerala who lived in Dubai since 2010. For the past 10 years, he has been purchasing Big Ticket entries every month alongside a close-knit group of 10 friends.
'When I received the call, I was overwhelmed with excitement,' he said, recalling his Dh100,000 win. 'This is the first time I've ever received a call like this and actually won a raffle draw—it still feels surreal.'He plans to split the prize money among his friends.

With Dh25 million up for grabs, plus weekly cash draws, luxury cars, and the exciting Big Win Contest, now is the perfect time for residents to take a chance.
For each purchase if two tickets, you get 2 free tickets. And this promotion is available all month long. Throughout April, every ticket you purchase not only enters you into the main draw but also qualifies you for weekly e-draws where five winners will each take home Dh150,000.
