Heritage conservation projects launched
Indore: To preserve the rich cultural heritage and attract a higher influx of tourists, the Directorate of Archaeology, Archives and Museums, Madhya Pradesh, launched conservation and restoration projects across various heritage sites. The selected locations include the historic Hamma Hamir ki Kothi and Barood Khana in Orchha, Garh Kundar Fort in Niwari, Loh Garh Fort, and the fort at Sabalgarh in Morena. The Directorate commenced work at several identified sites, with expectations for additional projects to kick off in the coming Shekhar Shukla, principal secretary of Tourism and Culture, Madhya Pradesh, said "We are committed to preserving these and many more invaluable heritage sites for future generations. These are are a part of our cultural rejuvenation initiatives aimed at "Vitasta se Vikas tak" and also position Madhya Pradesh as a prime destination for history and culture buffs. We believe that with proper care and conservation, these sites will become major tourist attractions while fostering a deeper appreciation for our rich and diverse cultural legacy."In Indore, an agency was tasked with the interior renovation of Lalbagh, which includes repairs to furniture, tapestry, upholstery, and painting. This project, assigned in November 2023, is set to be completed in three years, with an estimated budget of approximately Rs 6 crore. The conservation process across sites involves a variety of techniques such as structural pointing, roof and wall restoration, and the enhancement of main entrances. An official comment from the directorate states, "We are committed to preserving these invaluable heritage sites for future generations. These initiatives not only honour our rich history but also position Madhya Pradesh as a prime destination for heritage tourism. We believe that with proper conservation, these sites will attract numerous tourists while fostering a deeper appreciation for our cultural legacy." Jai Mata Ji Let's Rock movie review: Malhar Thakar & Tiku Talsania starrer slice-of-life dramedy is heartwarming & entertaining
Star cast: Malhar Thakar, Tiku Talsania, Shekhar Shukla, Neela Mulherkar, Vandana Pathak, Vyoma Nandi, Aryan Prajapati, Utkarsh Majumdar, Shilpa Thakar Director: Manish Saini The story revolves around an 80-year-old widow (Neela Mulherkar) having two sons and grandsons and living a middle-class lifestyle in a small town in Gujarat. Her sons left her in an old-age-home for some time, but one day her elder son (Tiku Talsania) takes her back home. Meanwhile, the state government of Gujarat announces a scheme for citizens over 80 years. According to the Govt scheme, every elderly people over 80 years will get one lakh a month. This was really good news for her elder son but the moment her younger son Gulab (Shekhar Shukla) came to know about this scheme, he tried to take her at his own home with the intensions of getting one lakh a month. The conflict increases between these two brothers who wanted to keep her with their own home. But twist comes in her story when her childhood boyfriend comes in her life and proposes to marry even in this age too. This was really an eye-opening situation in front of everyone in the family. Climax is the real crux of the story. So, to know what happens at the end, one must watch it. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Senior actress Neela Mulherkar is the heart and soul of the film. Her performance is outstanding, and she beautifully wins the heart of the audience. Actors Tiku Talsania and Shekhar Shukla are another attraction of the film. The onscreen chemistry of Malhar Thakar and Vyoma Nandi is simply awesome. Apart from them, other artists like Vandana Pathak, Aryan Prajapati, Utkarsh Majumdar, and Shilpa Thakar have also done justice to their parts. The charisma of Manish Saini's direction can be easily seen in this film. He has tried to create humour in almost every scene. He beautifully managed to showcase how humans become so selfish for money even if it's a matter of his/her very own family member. Although music does not play any major role in this comedy-drama, still the music by Night Song Records is quite impressive. Overall, this is one of the finest comedy dramas of the year. If you are really a comedy movie lover, then you must not miss it. Rating: 3 (out of 5 stars) Jai Mata Ji Let's Rock is playing in cinemas
