Designer Bag Bingo helps raise money to feed kids in need
PHOENIX, N.Y. (WSR-TV) — Erin's Angels of Central New York hosted its second annual 'Designer Bag Bingo' on Saturday, combining fun, fashion and philanthropy to support local children in need.
The event brought dozens of participants together to play bingo for a cause. Winners took home designer handbags — and helped ensure children in the community have access to food.
'When they come, they hear more about our organization and the different programs we offer,' said founder and executive director Shelia Dion. 'It's great for kids to learn about it too, because sometimes their peers don't have what they have.'
Some of the designer bags donated for the event included brands like Coach and Michael Kors.
