Tennis star worth more than Federer, Nadal and Djokovic humbled at French Open

Emma Navarro is one of the richest tennis players in the world, with her enormous net worth dwarfing that of the likes of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic Emma Navarro has an astonishing net worth that is more than the combined wealth of Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. However, her recent performances on clay certainly don't match the levels of the Big Three, as she was thrown out of the French Open in the first round. The American has an eye-watering £2.35billion fortune, which dwarfs the wealth of Nadal, Federer and Djokovic. In comparison, the Big Three have estimated net worths of £431m, £188m and £173m respectively – or £792m combined. ‌ However, Navarro's on-court performance fell drastically short of her financial strength as she crashed out of the French Open in the first round. The world No. 9 suffered a humbling straight set 6-0, 6-1 defeat to 68th-ranked Jessica Bouzas Maneiro. ‌ The 24-year-old had shown promise earlier in the 2025 season, reaching the Australian Open quarter-finals and claiming a second WTA Tour title at the Meirda Open in Mexico. But she struggled to replicate that form on the clay courts of Roland-Garros, and fell to defeat early on. Her opponent, Bouzas Maneiro, was left stunned by her victory over the American billionaire. Speaking post-match, the 22-year-old said: "I didn't expect the result but I always try to play my best, and I think everything is possible. "I feel good playing on clay, and winning here at Roland Garros is so special to me." The 22nd-ranked star, whose wealth is significantly boosted by her billionaire businessman father, Ben Navarro, was knocked out of the French Open in just 57 minutes. Discussing her speedy win over Navarro, Bouzas Maneiro added: "I have no idea [how I won in 57 minutes]. Really quick, and it's funny because my team just told me, 'Is it possible to win a match in two sets?' ‌ "Because the last two were three sets. They said to me, 'Is that possible?' I said, 'I will try to do my best!' So for you guys, one hour, finally!" Navarro will likely be more focused on the competition loss rather than the potential drop in earnings due to the huge wealth that is a shared trait across her family. ‌ Navarro's investment mogul father, Ben, is the founder and owner of Sherman Financial Group. According to Forbes, Ben's wealth is estimated to be around £3.7bn as of May 2025, and he has used some of his fortune to invest in his daughter's tennis career. In September 2018, he purchased Charleston Tennis LLC, and in 2022, his company, Beemok Sports, secured the rights to the Cincinnati Open. Following this French Open defeat, Navarro will now turn her focus towards Wimbledon, which takes place at the end of June. Meanwhile, Bouzas Maneiro will play Navarro's fellow American tennis player, Robin Montgomery, in the second round on Wednesday.

The TWO richest tennis players in the world are American women

You may have thought the richest tennis players in the world might have been Djokovic, Federer or Nadal. Maybe even Serena Williams. It's none of those! With a meagre accumulated career prize money of $4.2 million, you wouldn't think that 23-year-old American Emma Navarro is the richest tennis player in the world. However, that's exactly what she is. Her net worth is estimated at a cool $3.8 billion, down to a future inheritance handed down by her father Ben Navarro. He's a tycoon billionaire whose wealth has come from several ventures, notably his ownership of Sherman Financial Group. The natural assumptions and popular consensus with trust-fund kids are that they're lazy and entitled, but with Navarro, it couldn't be further from the truth. That is, at least from a tennis perspective. She's slugged it out on a highly competitive college circuit since 2020, making her WTA debut in 2019. She doesn't need the money from tennis. However, that's not how she plays the game. Jessica Pegula, ranked 4th in the world by the WTA, is also heir to billions of dollars. Emma Navarro has been ranked as high as 8th in the world. The New Yorker is currently the 10th-best female player on the planet. She's got two career titles to her name, while her best Grand Slam performances have been a semi-final at the 2024 US Open and a quarter-final run at the 2025 Australian Open. She fell at the quarter-final stage of Wimbledon 2024 against Jasmine Paolini, after defeating former Grand Slam winners Naomi Osaka and Coco Gauff en route. Navarro is a fierce competitor and counter-puncher who likes to make her opponents suffer on the court. Who's your favourite player in the world?
