Midlanders come together to clean the community, removing tons of trash in two hours

MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – This weekend, a group of dedicated Midlanders got together to tackle the growing issue of illegal dumping and litter in the community. In just two hours, volunteers filled two 40-yard roll-off dumpsters and three trailers full of tires. This – all in an effort to make Midland a cleaner and more beautiful place to live. The group said the massive cleanup was made possible thanks to the leadership and promotion of Keith Stetler. Other key contributors who brought truckloads of volunteers and resources included: Frank Buck – Shield Crane Kevin Omachel – Wildcat Site Services Jonna Smoot Zach Stocstill – Civitas E-Mission Environmental Solutions Chris Ware – Trans-Texas Cementing Services Additionally, the group said Constable Douglas Brown (Precinct 1) was on-site, ensuring traffic safety and slowing down passing vehicles as volunteers worked. The group also released a statement, saying, 'This effort showcases the power of community-driven action. While volunteers stepped up to clean the mess, we need long-term solutions, including better enforcement against illegal dumping. A huge thank you to everyone who gave their time, resources, and effort to help clean up Midland. Let's keep working together to make our community a place we can all be proud of!'
