Petroleum Min. Discusses with Chinese Leading Company Investment Opportunities in Mining Sector

Taarek Refaat Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources received a delegation from the Chinese Shimei Holding Company, a leading Chinese private sector mining company, headed by Liguao Wu, founder of Ximai Group to discuss possible investment opportunities in the Egyptian mining sector. The Minister emphasized the Ministry's aspiration to establish a strong partnership with the company in the mining sector, which the state attaches special importance to and is working to develop through reform programs and measures to facilitate investment and increase competitiveness. On their part, company officials expressed their strong interest in investing in Egypt and their enthusiasm for investing in the mining sector.
