Jin Reveals Why He Asked Shin Sae Kyeong To Hit Him In Don't Say You Love Me

In the music video of Don't Say You Love Me, Jin and Shin Sae Kyeong were seen in an emotional and tense confrontation.
BTS member Jin recently shared his shooting experience and some behind-the-scenes moments from his newly released track, Don't Say You Love Me. On May 17, the K-pop idol held a special fan showcase to celebrate the release of his second solo album, Echo. During this event, Jin performed several songs from his new album live for the first time and engaged in a conversation hosted by entertainer Jee Seok Jin.
In a conversation, Jin revealed his experience of shooting Don't Say You Love Me with actress Shin Sae Kyeong. Among all the stories shared, the most fascinating one from the discussion was regarding the shoot of an intense fight scene for the music video. In the Don't Say You Love Me music video, Jin and Shin Sae Kyeong were seen acting out an emotional and tense confrontation. Jin revealed that shooting the scene was extremely difficult for him as he has never fought in his entire life.
Talking about the scene, Jin explained that during the shooting, the idea of becoming physically aggressive made him uncomfortable, as it was something he wasn't used to. The singer then shared how her co-star Shin Sae Kyeong tried to help him with the scene. 'She told me to push, but I was like I can't do this, so I asked her, 'Can you lead me with hitting?" Jin explained.
He further added that it was difficult for him to push or throw a punch; hence, he asked his co-star to hit him, and in return, he would try to block her, which would seem to be a physical altercation between the duo. 'I asked her to hit me since I was good at block hits in Run Jin," Jin stated, referring to his reality TV show.

Jin's humble and sensible recollection quickly grabbed attention from the fans. Jin's sweet personality created a considerable buzz on social media, with fans calling him a 'walking green forest," a phrase used to describe a person who would go above and beyond to make others feel alright. Another fan commented, 'Not your issue, love; you're raised right." Someone else wrote, 'He is really a gentleman."
Jin's second solo album, Echo, was released on May 16. Within hours of its release, the album broke K-pop records for most sales in 2025. Simultaneously, Jin's Echo also topped global iTunes and Melon charts.
