3 killed, 8 injured in twin traffic accidents in N Afghanistan
Kabul, June 3 (UNI) At least three people lost their lives and eight others were injured in two separate road accidents in northern Afghanistan's Baghlan province, according to a local police official on Tuesday.
In the first incident, a bus and a private vehicle collided head-on late Monday in the Gazan area of Khenjan district. Provincial police spokesman Shir Ahmad Burhani confirmed that three women were killed and three others, including children, sustained injuries.
The second accident took place the same day on the outskirts of Doshi district, where a car veered off the road and overturned, injuring five passengers, said Burhani.
The official blamed reckless driving for the incidents, saying all the injured passengers were taken to health centers for treatment.
