Parineeta Borthakur: A short break in between work really rejuvenates me
Parineeta Borthakur enjoyed a much-needed vacation in Kuwait, her third visit to the evolving country. She's now eager to return to television with a dynamic role that allows her to showcase her acting skills and avoid typecasting.
Now that the show
Durga
has wrapped up, actress
Parineeta Borthakur
is finally getting some downtime. 'I took a proper vacation after almost two years,' she shares. 'Though I did manage a short break to Dubai during
Shiv Shakti
, this Kuwait trip was long overdue.'
TV is known for back-to-back shoots, and Parineeta doesn't complain about the pace of work. 'I don't really feel burnt out. I love working, but I do need short breaks in between,' she explains. 'Our schedules are hectic, with long hours and heavy dialogues. A short break in between work really rejuvenates and makes you love your work even more. A vacation in between work is the best vacation.'
The actress recently visited Kuwait for the third time.
She says, 'Each time I visit, Kuwait surprises me. It keeps evolving. The wealth, the lifestyle—it's very different from what we see back home. Despite being a desert with no rivers, they've tackled water scarcity by using desalinated seawater. It's inspiring. I wish we could adopt something similar in India.'
Back from the vacation, she's eager to return to the screen. 'I'm looking for a new daily show with an intriguing role. I enjoy playing dynamic characters. Being typecast or treated like a prop is frustrating. I want something that lets me tap into my craft.'
