Himachal CM dedicates Rs 119.51 crore development projects in Bangana
Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], June 7 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday dedicated development projects worth Rs 119.51 crore in the Bangana sub-division, marking a significant boost to infrastructure, healthcare, education, and water supply, as per an official release. The Chief Minister also participated as the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony of the three-day Piplu Fair. Prior to the event, Sukhu joined the traditional Shobha Yatra and addressed the gathering at Bhalethi, where he highlighted the cultural importance of such fairs and encouraged local farmers to adopt natural farming to enhance economic well-being. According to the release, development initiatives included the inauguration of key projects such as the Rs 2.12 crore Executive Engineer Divisional Office Building at Thanakalan, Rs 61.51 lakh Water Quality and Monitoring Training Centre at Barnoh, Rs 2.44 crore building for Government Senior Secondary School in Jathehri, Rs 1.45 crore Primary Health Centre at Chamyari, and Rs 93.69 lakh for four classrooms at Government Senior Secondary School in Mandli. Infrastructure projects like the Rs 10.31 crore Olinda-Bohru link road, Rs 12.22 crore roads from Saili to Handola via Kamoon Patti and from Saili Mahadev Temple via GPS Lubowal, and Rs 10.73 crore Rural Livelihood Centre building in Bangana were also inaugurated. Foundation stones were laid for upgrades to lift drinking water schemes worth Rs 2.35 crore in six villages, a Rs 10.59 crore irrigation scheme in Boul and Moh Khas, and rainwater harvesting structures costing Rs 7.20 crore across four locations. Further, the Chief Minister laid the foundation for a Rs 6.72 crore residential complex for the State Taxes and Excise Enforcement Office at Una, Rs 5.98 crore for road projects connecting Khuruni to Khairian via multiple villages, Rs 10.44 crore under NABARD for bridge construction in five areas, and Rs 33.59 crore for road construction from Bhiyambi to Barsar. The event saw the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and MLA Vivek Sharma. (ANI)

Ayodhya: Presiding seer of Hanuman Garhi steps out after centuries to visit Ram Temple
BREAKING A centuries-old tradition, the Chief Priest of Hanuman Garhi Temple – Prem Das – on Wednesday left the premises of the temple to visit the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. A grand procession was taken out in a horse-driven chariot and a large number of devotees and sadhus took part. Amidst the sounds of trumpets, chants of 'Jai Shri Ram' and flower petals being showered at various points, the procession comprising Panch of Nirvani Akhara as well as Naga Sadhus, first took snan (holy bath) in the Saryu River and from there the procession left for Ram Temple. 'The Shobha Yatra left Hanuman Garhi around 7:30 am with Sadhus of all the Pattis. They took bath at Naya Ghat and then left for darshan at Ram Janmabhoomi, where it ended. Police force was deployed for security at various points and traffic diversions were done in advance for the same,' said Madhuban Singh, Superintendent of Police, Ayodhya. Ayodhya Mayor Girish Tripathi said it was a 'matter of pride' for the residents of Ayodhya as they got to witness the 'historic moment.' 'Hanuman Garhi is the chief seat of Nirvani Akhara. It is a belief regarding Gaddi Nasheen that he does not leave his Hanuman Garhi premises. But, taking inspiration from Lord Hanuman, he (Das) visited Ram Lalla after taking bath at Saryu river,' said Tripathi. 'There is joy among the people of Ayodhya that they witnessed this historic moment. The Shobha Yatra was welcomed at various locations along the route.' After taking bath at Saryu River amidst chanting of mantras, Das said that he also observed a few minutes' silence after taking bath to pray for the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. Accompanied by sadhus and chief functionaries of Nirvani Akhara, he offered 56 different 'Bhog' (offerings) at the Ram Temple.

Cow vigilante Rocky Rana subjected rival to electric shocks: Delhi Police in FIR
New Delhi Delhi Police, in their FIR against cow vigilante Rocky Rana, said Rana and three of his associates subjected a man they suspected to be smuggling cows to electric shocks, thrashed him with a hammer and took him to three police stations, before he managed to escape their clutches. Rana has been booked on charges of abduction, assault and threatening a man named Ajay Chauhan, 30, in north Delhi's Wazirabad. While no arrest has been made yet, police said they questioned Rana and are conducting a probe. In the FIR, Chauhan, a Bajrang Dal member from Brahmapuri who works with a taxi aggregator service, said he was hired to drive a Bolero and transport two bullocks to Jhandewalan. 'I have worked with Golu before. He uses the bullocks for a bullock-cart in religious events such as Shobha Yatra. I was just doing my job…' he said. He told HT that Rana targeted him over a past rivalry. 'I used to work with Rana. Once there was a raid in Nand Nagri, where my team reached earlier and helped the police. I don't know why but this irked him. He targeted me and stopped including me in further cow smuggling raids.' He said his vehicle was intercepted and the person called Rana, who then allegedly abducted him and tortured him at a gaushala. 'For over five hours, they hurled abuses at me and my associate, thrashed us, gave us electric shocks and threatened us. Rana had pistols and he threatened me with weapons. They said I was killing cows. Why would I do that? I am a member of Bajrang Dal and still work for cow protection and treatment in Delhi. He orchestrates these fake raids often to gain followers on social media by targeting people from other communities. Now, he is after me,' Chauhan said. Calls to Rana for comment on the issue went unanswered. He had previously denied the claims and said he took Chauhan to a gaushala for treating sick bullocks. A senior police officer said, 'The victim was transporting cows for a religious procession. It looks like a case of personal enmity. We are looking into the matter. Rana and his associates have been identified.'
