The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, when members of the Criminal Intelligence Unit and Shooting Task Force saw a black Volkswagen Atlas driving 'recklessly' in the Hill neighborhood.
The vehicle came back stolen from Branford, so officers tracked it to the Fair Haven area, where they deployed stop sticks and successfully deflated the vehicles' front driver side tire.
After the stop sticks were hit, police said the vehicle accelerated toward Grand Avenue, where it collided with another vehicle at Front Street. The occupants of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries, according to police.
