BID announces funding in Harrogate for Shopsafe's Alert app
Harrogate BID has announced funding for the Alert app from ShopSafe, which will support the Harrogate Pubwatch scheme in the town centre by streamlining communication between venues.
Matthew Chapman, chief executive of Harrogate BID, said: "We're thrilled to be working alongside the Pubwatch scheme in our town to continue to improve the initiative for its members."
It is hoped that the app will make it easier for venues to report incidents and identify banned individuals, supporting a safer night-time economy.
The partnership between Harrogate BID, Pubwatch, and Shopsafe's Alert app was announced officially at a meeting last Thursday (May 29).
Details of the Best Bar None scheme in Harrogate were also revealed during that meeting.
The scheme is designed to help customers to identify well-run night-time economy venues, which have received a mark of accreditation from the scheme.
