Rhea Chakraborty, Brother Showik Perform Puja At Chapter 2 Drip's First Store
Last Updated: Rhea Chakraborty, along with her brother Showik and other family members, was seen taking part in the puja and doing the rituals. Rhea Chakraborty, along with her brother Showik, ventured into a streetwear business named Chapter 2 Drip. On May 24, the siblings unveiled their first physical store in Mumbai, allowing customers to experience their product. On Thursday, the actress shared glimpses of a puja at their store, welcoming positive energy into the space. Rhea shared multiple videos and photos from the puja scenes at her store, where she, along with her brother Showik and other family members, was seen taking part in the puja and doing the rituals. Rhea posted the thread on Instagram with the caption, 'Gratitude for our #Chapter2. Ganpati Bappa Morya." Fans quickly began congratulating the actress on her new venture and wished her good luck. One fan wrote, 'It's only the beginning." Another fan commented, 'God bless you and your family, and y'all's chapter." Someone else wrote, 'Many congratulations, and the stuff and collections are real dope." The actress ventured into the retail business along with her brother Showik, Harpreet Singh and Jinita Seth last year. This streetwear label is home to oversized T-shirts, raw-edged hoodies, baggy jeans, and pieces with affirming quotations, among others. The brand positions itself outside the trend-driven fashion, as, according to Rhea, their clothes are meant to express, not impress. Their recently opened flagship store in Mumbai houses both men's and women's apparel and features a coffee nook as well. Priced between Rs 1,190 and Rs 4,190, the apparels come with unique packaging with affirmations pasted on them, highlighting the brand's focus on fashion as a form of identity. Meanwhile, Rhea was last seen as one of the gang leaders in Roadies XX. Neha Dhupia, Prince Narula, Elvish Yadav and Gautam Gulati were also seen as gang leaders in the reality show. Rhea Chakraborty: I don't think I'm a very big fashion icon (Exclusive)
'It's been a full long journey of a year for' Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik to launch their brand. The two recently started their clothing brand store and sit down together for an extensive chat. 'We come from a middle class family, so the feeling to own a shop is surreal. Mom and dad are really proud and it shows on their face. I personally live for that. I live for my mom and dad to be proud and happy. I feel like they have been through enough troubles and pains in their lives. So that's my life's goal. And seeing them just makes this so fulfilling for me. We never expected the kind of love that we received for Chapter Two to pour in the way that it has. Even after the launch weekend when we finally opened the store, people started coming in on their own. I never thought that I'll be a shopkeeper. Now I'm a shopkeeper on Linking Road,' Rhea quips. Point out to her that other actors would choose a word such as an entrepreneur or a businesswoman, and she quips, 'Let's be real. The business is running a shop. If you run a shop and you're a good shopkeeper. There's no shame in that. I'm only proud of the fact that I am now officially a shopkeeper.' Talking about their personal style, Rhea states, 'I don't really think I have a personal style per se. I don't think I'm a very big fashion icon. I like comfort. So, comfort for me is the first, first, the most important thing. Because if I'm not comfortable, I'm not happy and if I'm not happy, I'm not good. But the personal element that's derived and comes into Chapter Two is the stuff that's written on the t-shirts. Like we have a T shirt that says – Unherd which has two meanings, don't be part of a herd, and also unheard. That's what we felt at one point. Then we have a T shirt that says 'Cancel' because we want to take the power away from trolls. The whole Instagram culture and trolling culture really affects the younger lot adversely.' Showik adds, 'Our clothes say the emotions out loud. There is a story which is getting etched drop by drop, it's coming together.' On a parting note ask Showik if the acting bug never really bite him, and he shies away. 'He's just so camera shy. If I am shooting a video with him, he laughs for 30 minutes,' Rhea chips in. Showik adds, 'I was never made for the camera. I never thought about acting. I can't even take a picture. I'm that camera shy. Now I'm getting used to it. I've seen it so closely with Rhea being in industry that I was like, this is so tough. It is so tough to do what actors do, and I respect what they do, but seeing it so closely, I don't even want to try. And that's probably one of the reasons why I've not even thought about it.' Rhea Chakraborty's clothing brand ‘Chapter 2' goes offline; eyes 10–15 stores in 12 months
New Delhi: Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty are eyeing to open 10 – 15 outlets for their unisex streetwear brand 'Chapter 2' over the next 12 months. The sibling duo, who co-founded the brand in August 2024, opened their first retail experience store in Bandra, Mumbai, on Friday. 'Offline was always part of the vision – not just retail, but a space to belong,' said Rhea in an interaction with ETRetail. 'We're building experience centres, not just stores – with coffee corners, DIY sections, and hangout spaces that reflect the soul of the brand,' she added. Interestingly, Chapter 2 is targeting non-metro cities for its next phase. 'Our core audience is in tier 1 and 2 cities such as Jaipur, Bhopal, Raipur – where we've seen strong organic traction,' said Showik. 'We want these stores to be culture hubs, a space to connect, not just consume.' Backed by Kishore Biyani and his daughter Ashni, Chapter 2 currently sells exclusively via its D2C website. The brand has gained steady traction online and now clocks Rs 50 lakh plus in monthly revenue, with a 20-25 per cent month-on-month growth rate. Rhea and Showik, both first-time entrepreneurs with no background in fashion or business, say the brand was born from a dark chapter in their lives and has now evolved into their purpose. 'We didn't just want to sell clothes. We wanted to create something that felt like a warm hug for people who feel like they don't fit in,' Rhea said. READ SOURCE
