Admission opens for bachelor course at Lalit Kala Akademi
Lucknow: The UP State Lalit Kala Akademi has commenced admissions for its Bachelor of Visual Arts programme, alongside announcing a special summer workshop for art enthusiasts.
The Bachelor's programme, which has no age restrictions, offers 20 seats with a semester fee of Rs 6,800. Interested candidates can obtain application forms online for Rs 500. Admission will be granted through an entrance examination, and aspirants must submit their applications by June 26.
The Akademi is also organizing a 20-day summer workshop focusing on painting and drawing techniques using various mediums.
The workshop, scheduled from June 10 to June 30, will run from 8 am to 10 am daily.
Participants will be divided into two age groups: 10-17 years and 18 years and above. The workshop carries a nominal fee of Rs 100 with an additional registration charge of Rs 50. Application forms are available at the Akademi.
"The workshop aims to inspire youth towards visual arts, so that they can contribute in the field of art and culture in future," said Akademi director Shraddha Shukla.
The workshop will conclude with an exhibition of participants' works, and certificates will be awarded to all participants.
