maintained their joint lead after Round 7 of the Second
Jaipur Open Fide Rated Chess tournament
being played at the Jaipur Club on Saturday. The five-day national-level tourney is being organised jointly by Waves and Jaipur Health Welfare.
Both Arun and Shrayan continued their unbeaten run to take their points tally to 6.5 points at the end of the penultimate day's play.
In the thrilling matches played on Saturday, Kataria outwitted Nimay Aggarwal of Haryana, while third seed Shrayan proved his superiority by defeating YP Srivastava of Bihar.
In other matches, Manav Kumar of Rajasthan continued his explosive streak for the third time in a row when he held second seeded International Master Rahul Sangma of Railways to a draw and gave a blow to Rahul's winning campaign. Siddhant Chaturvedi outclassed Blitz winner Gopal Rathore.
