The event is one of several being held in the build-up to the 100th birthday of Sai Baba on November 23, 2025, a guru and philanthropist. Vernon Chetty, one of the event organisers, said: "As the universe unites to commemorate the 100th birthday of our beloved Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, it becomes imperative to reflect upon the profound essence and significance of his life and teachings of universal love and selfless service. Even after a century, the crest of human values stands firm in the foundation of love and service. Video Player is loading. In an era marked by rapid technological advancements and moral dilemmas, his teachings offer a compass, directing humanity towards a future anchored in love, empathy, and unity." "To this end, a group of Sai aspirants are coming together to progress the teachings of Bhagawan Shri Sathya Sai Baba, through raising consciousness by singing 100 bhajans and permeating love and light to the world and being his ambassadors to promote his teachings." Chetty said they were expecting about 10 000 devotees, who would attend dressed in white. "We are referring to them as 'soldiers in white'. Everyone is expected to be seated by 2.45pm.
