‘Sitaare Zameen Par' makers asked to include PM Modi quote by CBFC
With just one day to go before the release of Aamir Khan's much-anticipated Sitaare Zameen Par, a spiritual sequel to the 2007 superhit Taare Zameen Par. A report by Hindustan Times suggests that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has recommended five alterations, along with a quote from Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioning 2047 in the opening anticipation soaring high, the report further reveals that the makers of Sitaare Zameen Par have adhered to the modifications suggested by CBFC and have made the said changes in the film. The film was issued a U/A certification on June 17 following the completion of the suggested Khan teaming up with Lokesh Kanagaraj for a film. Meanwhile, the trailer has already touched audiences by highlighting a world rich in love, happiness and light-hearted moments. As Aamir returns to the big screen after a long hiatus, the anticipation around the film has skyrocketed. The movie brings back Aamir to the silver screen essaying a pivotal role alongside Genelia the prequel Taare Zameen Par focused on a young boy with dyslexia and underlined the importance of understanding and nurturing children with learning differences, Sitaare Zameen Par is touted to carry forward that emotional legacy, this time celebrating the resilience and spirit of children with intellectual disabilities in a sports-based Khan Productions presents 10 news faces: Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. Director RS Prasanna joins hands with Aamir Khan Productions for Sitaare Zameen Par. He earlier received rave reviews for his movie Shubh Mangal under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, Sitaare Zameen Par stars Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in lead roles, along with 10 fresh faces. The lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and the music is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Divy Nidhi Sharma wrote the screenplay. The film is produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, with B Shrinivas Rao and Ravi Bhagchandka as producers. Directed by RS Prasanna, the film will be released in theatres only on June 20, 2025.
