Two held for pharmacist's murder in Barabanki
Lucknow: The murder of a pharmacist in Barabanki on May 3 was linked to a love affair, police said after the arrest of two people on Kumar, 35, was attacked outside a clinic in Malauli village by a group of assailants.
He died during on a complaint by his father, 11 suspects were detained, including six named in the FIR — mostly relatives and a nurse who once worked with Satyendra. However, all were found to be innocent. Police cracked the case using CCTV footage and a threatening audio recording on the victim's revealed that Shubham Awasthi, angry over Satyendra's relationship with a girl, plotted the murder with his relatives and accused, Shriram Shukla and Pankaj Maurya, were arrested on Vikas Chandra Tripathi said investigation revealed that Satyendra was in a relationship with a woman which led to tension with Shubham Awasthi of Manauli.
