Europe Pitches Stability to Bond Investors Wary of US Turbulence
Finance officials from across Europe are touting their bond markets as a haven from US volatility in a bid to attract global investors rethinking their dollar allocations.
Siegfried Ruhl, a senior adviser to the European Union on its joint bond issuance program, said the region's capital markets are 'an anchor of stability' that he contrasted with the 'turbulence' of US markets. UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves, meanwhile, said she hopes her nation is now seen as an 'oasis of stability' because of its fiscal rules and stable politics.
