Former Panthers LB among over 250 people arrested as part of human-trafficking sting
A former Carolina Panthers linebacker has been arrested in connection to a massive human-trafficking ring.
As reported by Silas Morgan of The Orlando Sentinel, Adarius Taylor was one of over 250 people who were recently arrested as part of "Operation Fool Around and Find Out," a nine-day sting conducted by multiple agencies in the state of Florida. Taylor, according to his arrest affidavit, was charged with felony negligent child abuse without bodily harm and misdemeanor solicitation of prostitution.
Per Morgan, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd stated that Taylor brought his six-year-old child to the sting operation and left the child inside of his car after entering.
"Obviously he must have hit one too many people as a linebacker, because his brain cells are scrambled," Judd said.
Taylor signed with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Florida Atlantic University in 2013. He played three seasons in Carolina, including his final NFL campaign in 2020.
The now-34-year-old also picked up stints with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2015 to 2018), Cleveland Browns (2019) and the Canadian Football League's Calgary Stampeders (2023).This article originally appeared on Panthers Wire: Ex-Panthers LB arrested in massive human-trafficking sting operation
