Sara's blue-bow moment turns heads

Sara Ali Khan, once hailed as Bollywood's promising new face after delivering early hits like Simmba and Love Aaj Kal, has recently faced a string of underwhelming films, particularly on OTT platforms. However, the young actress continues to make headlines—this time not for her films, but for her fashion statement. At a recent event, Sara wowed fashion watchers in a light blue strapless mini-dress that balanced elegance with a playful twist. The dress featured a clean and structured front that flaunted her toned figure, paired with sparkling heels and subtle earrings. Her neatly pulled-back hair accentuated the neckline, giving her look a breezy, contemporary finish. The real show-stealer, however, was the oversized bow at the back—an unexpected, dramatic element that added flair to the otherwise minimalist outfit. The look was red-carpet ready, capturing both style and simplicity in one silhouette. On the work front, Sara is gearing up for Metro… In Dino, a slice-of-life comedy-drama helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Basu. The ensemble cast is packed with seasoned actors like Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Ali Fazal—making it a challenging space for Sara to stand out. Yet, the film could offer her the perfect opportunity to redefine her trajectory and prove her mettle amidst veterans.

Sara Ali Khan shares what to do when ‘romantic feeling awakens' during the monsoon

Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan took to social media to share what she does when that 'romantic feeling awakens' during the monsoon. Taking to Instagram, the 'Simmba' actress shared a couple of her stunning selfies alongside a poetic note. Unleashing her poetic side, Sara wrote, 'Monsoon mein bharo mugge Aur cozy hokar suno Zamaana Lage Romance wali feeling jab jage Think of aapke pyaare sage.' In the images, the actress is seen wearing a stylish, sleek, body-hugging silhouette crafted from bonded crepe. In the candid shots, Sara could be seen striking different poses for the camera. Recently, the 'Kedarnath' actress was spotted at the launch of the song 'Zamaana Lage' from the upcoming film 'Metro… In Dino.' The film's first song from the aromatic drama was released in a star-studded event attended by the cast, including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The music director Pritam, along with singers like Papon and Shashwat Singh, were also present to celebrate the launch. The music video begins on a rainy day with Arijit's soulful vocals setting the mood of love as Aditya's character bids farewell to Sara at the train station. The scene then shifts to Ali and Fatima celebrating Holi together. It also tells the story of Anupam and Neena, shown riding a scooter and strolling through the city. Meanwhile, Pankaj and Konkona's characters enjoy a beach outing, sharing tender and sweet moments. Directed by Anurag Basu, the film delves into the complexities of bittersweet relationships set against a modern backdrop, showcasing the different shades and emotions of love. It serves as a spiritual follow-up to Anurag's 2007 romantic musical, 'Life in a... Metro,' which portrayed the interconnected lives of nine individuals in Mumbai. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Taani Basu, the movie is scheduled for theatrical release on July 4.

Romeo S3 Movie Review: A formulaic masala fare that lacks focus

Story: DCP Sangram Singh Shekhawat (Thakur Anoop Singh) sets out to take down a deadly drug cartel in Goa. But when he crosses paths with a vengeful mafioso, the mission spirals into a deeper conspiracy—one that threatens the entire nation. Review: Director Guddu Dhanoa's action thriller follows a fiery cop, Sangram, who goes undercover to infiltrate a drug cartel and expose its masterminds. At the same time, he is investigating his mentor's murder and grows convinced the two cases are connected. The story takes an unexpected turn, unfolding into a larger conspiracy involving a deadly virus—its only antidote in the hands of the self-proclaimed 'monster' mafioso, Jayant Makhija (Aman Dhaliwal). In the midst of this chaos, Sangram must also rescue investigative journalist Tanu (Palak Tiwari) after she's abducted by Jayant and his father. Written by Shailesh Verma, the film is an out-and-out potboiler that suffers from a formulaic plot, an unfocused screenplay, and a meandering narrative. It's riddled with unexplained plot points, underdeveloped characters, and implausible twists—like Sangram's transfer being stalled simply because a video of his vigilante-style justice against rapists goes viral. Despite the below-par narrative, the film's first half maintains an even pace and keeps you somewhat engaged as Sangram outsmarts the cartel. The film's production values and overall look are serviceable, even if not standout. There are a few well-choreographed action sequences, though the film leans heavily on the tried-and-tested formula of slow-motion entries, car chases, and blowing up vehicles. The narrative is further weighed down by a one-sided love angle, with Tanu falling for Sangram, and songs that interrupt the flow. Thakur Anoop Singh handles the action scenes well and has a decent screen presence, though his characterisation and performance often echo Ranveer Singh's Simmba. His emotional moments, however, don't always land. Palak Tiwari is passable as Tanu, but her character is severely underwritten, and she never quite convinces as an investigative journalist. Aman Dhaliwal enters in the second half and is excessively over-the-top as the menacing Jayant. With too many plot points crammed into a single narrative, most of them unconvincing and half-baked, the film loses focus and impact. While a few action sequences manage to grab your attention, they aren't enough to salvage the overall experience. Romeo S3 tries to deliver a massy action thriller but ends up as an over-the-top masala fare with little payoff.

Ranveer Singh worked for 22 hours a day during 'Simmba' so that he could take time off during wedding with Deepika Padukone; apologised even if he was 2minutes late on set

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone tied the knot in November 2018 in Villa del Balbianello in Lake Como, Italy. Their destination wedding was all things dreamy but did you know that Ranveer worked overtime and made sure that his work doesn't suffer when he takes time off during his wedding? Ranveer's co-star from ' Simmba ' which was directed by Rohit Shetty, has now spilled some details about the actor. Popular actor Vijay Patkar who was also a part of the film, shared the Ranveer gave immense respect to all the seniors on the set and never took a day off, except for his birthday, when Deepika had visited Hyderabad to meet him. Vijay said in an interview with Filmymantra Media, "During Simmba, I saw it. I told Ranveer. 'look at your eyes', there were bags under his eyes. He said 'Kya karu? Shaadi kar raha hu. Abhi karna padega. (What do I do? I am getting married. I will have to do this.)' He was getting married so we had a fixed schedule and until then, we had to finish the shoot." He added, "So from 9 am to 6 pm, he would shoot the fight scene in the police station, and it was fully physical. He would leave for the gym at 6 pm, come back on the set at 8:30 pm, and shoot for 'Aankh Maare' from 9 pm until 6 am. This went on for seven days. He would sleep at 7 am for just 2-3 hours. He would say, 'Kya karu? Shaadi hai. Meri hi shaadi hai. Mujhe hi karna padega (What do I do? It's my wedding. I will have to do this)'. Simba's release date was already announced by then." Vijay also shared that Ranveer respected every actor on the set and their time. "Ranveer really respects his seniors on set. He will just sit and quietly listen when a senior is talking to him. Amaal Mallik on cutting ties with his parents, claims the decision brought them closer: ‘Parents wanted me to be like brother Armaan Mallik, had to express myself'

Singer Amaal Mallik has successfully flown under the radar for most of his career, until earlier this year when he decided to announce on social media that he was cutting ties with his family, which consists of his brother, singer Armaan Mallik, and parents composer Daboo Mallik and his mother, Jyoti Mallik. Since then the singer has been putting in work in the indie circuit, and he recently opened up about his decision to move away and highlighted why it was important for him to do so. While talking about his out-of-the-blue decision to TOI, the singer pointed out that this distance with his family has actually brought all of them together. He said he had been holding on to a lot of feelings for a long time, and needed to get them out. He said people are hesitant talking about their family and problems on social media, but he felt relieved after opening up to the world because sometimes you can be misunderstood even by the people who are the closest to you. ALSO READ: 'Ranveer Singh would work for 22 hours during Simmba because he was getting married, apologised to everyone when he was 2 minutes late,' recalls co-actor Amaal mentioned how he has always felt that his family was like one unit, but he still felt that his family weren't able to understand a lot of what he was going through and admitted that even he might have been a little aloof to their needs. He revealed how many of his fans wondered why he wasn't making more music or stepping away from his family. According to Amaal, his parents were also taken aback by the decision, but in hindsight, it turned out to be good for them, and brought them closer to each other. The singer also talked about people's tendency of keeping their parents on a pedestal, and said that one should realise that they are just humans and are as likely as anyone to make mistakes. Amaal posted this announcement back in March, and in the post, the singer called out his parent for certain actions which drove a wedge between him and his brother Armaan. He said, 'The journey has been terrific for the both of us, but the actions of my parents have been the reason we as brothers have gone too far from one another, and all of this has made me step in for myself, as it has left a very deep scar across my heart.' Just days after his estrangement from the family, Amaal was spotted in a picture posted by his brother of his registered marriage, where he could be seen posing alongside Armaan and his wife, Aashna Shroff.
