Dundee need 'more experience' & 'back-up for Murray'
We asked for your views on what business you would like to see Dundee do in the transfer window this what some of you had to say:Iain: We need a midfield. A lot of the blame last season was given out to our defence, but they had nothing in front of them to actually give them a chance! We also need back-up for Simon Murray, he's brilliant and runs through brick walls for this club - but he can't do it alone!Keneil: Club needs to sort out all the out-of-contract players. We will need plenty midfielders, especially with experience to cover the loss of Lyall Cameron. Also Murray has to have a decent partner, he was left doing too much himself last season. Lastly I'm hoping as Steven Pressley was a good defender, I hope he can sort out our lot. Would like to see young Luke Graham get a game, he did really well at I think a new manager with a proven track record of success would be a good Josh Mulligan, Mo Sylla and Scott Tiffoney will go. Signing Ronan Hale from Ross County would go a long way to getting the fans onside again. We have one signed striker and virtually no midfield at present. I would like to see Jamie Brandon and Stephen Kelly signed from Livingston, plus Kyle Vassell who has left KilmarnockIain: A top defence coach would be a good start - 139 goals shipped in the past two campaigns. That's simply shocking. Murray performed miracles last season, but he's now our only recognised striker and is 33? Having lost Luke McCowan and Cameron we badly need some creative flair too. It's a total rebuild for Balance. This was Tony Docherty's undoing. Too many times last season the team was top heavy in rookies making rookie mistakes and no leaders on the pitch. We need a balance between seasoned pros and youth, this will help development more than anything Noah Chilvers and big Jordan White from Ross County. One is a classy midfielder and White is an experienced centre-forward for Murray to play off. Get centre defence sorted from players already there, but we need full-backs.

Dundee set to interview managerial candidates next week

Livingston 1-1 Ross County: Analysis
County's problem this season has been scoring goals. The loss of top scorer Simon Murray - who went on to score 16 in the Premiership for Dundee - and assist king Yan Dhanda last summer was always going to be tough to overcome. However, Don Cowie's use of three centre-backs plus two wing-backs who are defenders rather than wide players means they struggle to get into decent crossing positions. Without the injured Noah Chilvers, they also seriously lack a creative and scoring threat from midfield, with much of the burden falling to striker Hale. They work hard and get stuck in, but it has not proven enough as a 10-game winless run - with seven defeats - at the wrong time of the season illustrates. And while they have the memories of surviving in Dingwall in the last two campaigns, this feels different. One, they face a Livingston side with lots of top-flight experience, who have already beaten them this season and who last conceded more than once in a game in March. And two, it is hard to see who is going to step up to and provide the goals they need, given they have only scored more than once in a game twice since February.

Dundee Player of the Year awards - who picked up the big accolades for the Dark Blues?
Simon Murray is Dundee's Player of the Year after a stellar return to his boyhood club. The 33-year-old scored 22 goals in 46 appearances for the Dark Blues after making the switch from Ross County last summer. And he was the clear winner for the club's Andrew De Vries Player of the Year, as chosen by the club's fans. Also picking up votes were Mo Sylla and Josh Mulligan but there was no one close to Murray in the running. Murray also topped the vote among his fellow players by picking up the Players' Player of the Year award as Dundee players, staff and fans enjoyed a night of celebration following Sunday's win over St Johnstone. There was a first in the Isobel Sneddon Young Player of the Year award with Burnley's on-loan attacker Seun Adewumi becoming the first foreign player to scoop up the accolade. The Austrian made a real impact in dark blue as he adapted to British football, scoring five goals and picking up five assists. Jordan McGhee is expected to depart the club after six years at Dundee. But he'll be leaving with a flourish after winning the Goal of the Season award for his strike in the 4-2 derby win at Dundee United in March, McGhee's second of that memorable day.
