Nissan Z Crashes Leaving Car Meet In Houston

Read the full story on The Auto Wire A scary moment unfolded at a car meet in Houston, Texas when a new Nissan Z driver lost control, crashing into a wall and a group of pedestrians. It's the sort of thing most people joke about only Mustangs doing when leaving meets, although we've seen this kind of amateur behavior from a variety of of the incident shows the Z driver took off from the Car Culture show parking lot, turning right while sending it. The rear-wheel-drive car veered right, he overcorrected, then the thing steered hard left, crashing into a wall on the side of the road. What was even scarier is there were some people standing right where the Nissan crashed. One ended up on the sports car's hood, while the others were able to move out of the way at the last second. It didn't look like the one guy was seriously hurt and we hope that's true. These types of accidents are bad enough without injuries. As for the Z, the hood crumpled and it belched plenty of fluid, probably coolant, onto the road. Police showed up right after, dispersing people as some in the crowd were getting aggressive with the Nissan driver. The guy is dealing with enough problems, likely getting a citation and having to file a not-fun claim with his insurance, not to mention crashing his new car. The YouTube channel which captured and shared all this chaos, Sinclair Photos, made an interesting point. He said, 'Among all the people that can control their 800+ hp muscle and supercar a bone stock Nissan Z couldn't handle all them 300 horses and spun out into a wall.' For starters, the Z has 400-horsepower, but his point is still valid. What this comes down to is driver error and a lack of experience. Too many people who don't know what they're doing try showing off for the crowds at car shows and this is what happens.
