Liaoning tune-up for Speedy Tigresses
KUALA LUMPUR: The national women's hockey team will play seven friendly matches against Liaoning Club in China from May 7-17 in preparation for next month's Nations Cup in Walcz, Poland.
National coach Nasihin Nubli said: "The players selected for the tour must prove themselves that they are ready for the Nations Cup.
"I want to see how they react against Liaoning who have a few national players. Liaoning play fast, aggressive and technical matches.
"Playing seven matches will be a good test to see how the young players cope against an experienced club."
