Taylor Brewster, 18, recently won a gold medal in esthetics at the national Skills Canada Competition last month in Regina, Sask.
Brewster qualified to represent the province after winning gold at the Skills Manitoba Competition in April.
'Taylor has worked really hard in preparing for Skills Canada nationals,' said Lucile Laurin, an esthetics teacher at the Louis Riel Arts and Technology Centre who trained Brewster at the Windsor Park-based school.

'Her dedication and commitment to this process has really paid off for her winning the gold medal in esthetics for Manitoba … LRATC is very proud of her, and she certainly is a role model for future estheticians.'
Brewster will now be part of the Canadian team that will compete at the WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai, China, in September 2026.
