She later signed a recording contract with BMG at the age of 13 and reached No.2 on the ARIA charts with "Strawberry Kisses" in 2001. Webster has continued to pop up on Aussie screens, including on The Masked Singer Australia as 'the alien' in 2019. Strawberry Kisses singer Nikki Webster steps out with her lookalike actress daughter Skylah at Les Miserables premiere in Sydney
Nikki Webster is all grown up and now a proud mum to two adorable children. The 38-year-old singer attended the Les Miserables premiere in Sydney on Thursday night with her brood in tow. And while the Strawberry Kisses hitmaker was looking stunning, it was hard to ignore how much her daughter Skylah, 10, looks like just her famous mother. Skylah, who herself is now in show business, beamed beside her mum Nikki, and her brother Malachi, seven. Nikki turned heads in a high fashion, off the shoulder gown with glittering black sequins throughout. The dress featured a floral design in tones of red, purple, yellow and blue and sat close to her figure. She pulled her blonde hair off her face in braids with a flash of pink dye through her flaxen locks. The star went for a natural, clean makeup look with a pink lipstick and had on minimal accessories. Skylah looked cute in a white dress with a gold floral design while Malachi was adorable in a silver and black suit. Earlier this year, Nikki and daughter appeared on Channel Seven 's The Morning Show and the youngster stunned the hosts with her incredible acrobatic skills. Skylah exuded confidence and style as she effortlessly performed a series of acrobatic stunts for Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies, as her mother proudly watched on. Webster later shared some photos of the appearance to Instagram along with the caption, 'Such a fun morning with my girl. So proud of her, such a lucky mum.' She also revealed her daughter would be following in her footsteps, by appearing in an upcoming production of the musical Annie at The Capital Theatre in Sydney. Co-host Larry Emdur then asked Skylah what advice she would give to other young girls looking to break into showbusiness. 'Keep on dreaming and working hard and eventually they will make it there, which is what I did!' Skylah responded. However, Nikki then jumped in to admit that her sharing clips to TikTok of Skylah performing backflips onstage alongside comedian Quinn Beasley may have helped her daughter score the coveted theatre gig. 'And just so happen to have a viral clip!' Nikki quipped. Webster recently posted footage of her daughter performing in Sydney, and it has currently been viewed over 50 million times. Webster herself previously starred as Dorothy in the Australian production of The Wizard of Oz, from 2001 - 2002. The upbeat entertainer also shared a gallery of photos in which she posed alongside her mini-me daughter. Skylah's striking facial features and golden blonde hair made her the spitting image of her mother. Many of Nikki's fans quickly took to the comment section to remark on the uncanny resemblance the pair shared. 'Omg she's a total mini me of you!!!! She looks just like the Nikki who flew over the stadium in 2000,' one user wrote. The Sydney native married Matthew McMah in 2012 before ending their marriage in 2018. They share two children together, daughter Skylah and son Malachi. Nikki stole the hearts of Australians and the world at just 13 years old when she performed at the 2000 Sydney Olympics but she is all grown up 24 years later. In 2023, she enjoyed a career comeback after her 2001 hit single Strawberry Kisses became the unofficial anthem of the Australian Women's Soccer Team The Matildas, during the FIFA Women's World Cup. She previously detailed her journey of overcoming domestic violence and the heartbreaking reason why she's single. During an episode of the Kyle & Jackie O Show, the singer opened up about her personal life in a candid chat, explaining she's been out of a relationship for 'many years'. 'It's a long story. Unfortunately, not a very happy story,' she told hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson, adding she's 'had a pretty hard few years'.
