The land, called King Tract, totals more than 600 acres for recreation and investment. A recreational property that is described as a "hunting honey hole" has hit the market in Walker County. Roughly 610 acres named King Tract is listed for $1.83 million in the Curry community. The acreage is near Steele Road, Bird Farm Road and Fred Farley Road and is minutes away from Smith Lake. The listing sheet calls the land a great opportunity for investors, developers and outdoorsmen. Local hunters have reported multiple mature bucks over the past 10 years quality turkey stock as well. "It is a proven coal reserve with on-site remediation," the listing agent reported. "Per the seller, these is an estimated 1.2 million tons of industrial black creek coal underground here that you control the surface rights to.
