Sletcher Myranda Floyd crowned Unduk Ngadau Penampang 2025

PENAMPANG (May 20): Sletcher Myranda Floyd was crowned as the Unduk Ngadau (UN) of Penampang District 2025 after defeating 13 other contestants in a competition held at Buhavan Square, Donggongon, on Sunday.
This victory qualifies Sletcher to represent Penampang in the national-level Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan finals scheduled for May 30.
She took home a cash prize of RM7,000, a trophy and a bouquet of flowers, along with the title 'Tati Topiodo' (best in personality and appearance).
Second place was won by Carrie Terence, who received RM3,000 in cash, a trophy, and a bouquet, while third place went to Dorna Mayra Michael, who also received RM2,000, a trophy, a bouquet, and the title 'Tati Tosuau' (best in grace and refinement).
The event was officiated by Datuk Ewon Benedick, Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives and Member of Parliament for Penampang.
In his speech, Ewon said this year's Kaamatan Festival celebration symbolizes the unity of a multiracial society, in line with the aspirations of MADANI Malaysia.
'The theme 'Kaamatan for All' is hoped to ignite the spirit of unity and tolerance among the people, thereby strengthening harmony and efforts to develop the nation,' he said.
