Liam and Noel Gallagher performing together today as Oasis frontman updates fans
The first full Oasis rehearsals is taking place today - with Liam Gallagher reuniting with the rest of the band at a secret location and declaring he is 'loving life'. Frontman Liam was so excited about playing music with brother Noel Gallagher he was up at 6am replying to fans on X, formerly twitter, and told them rehearsals were happening. A second source also confirmed the band were meeting again today, having already started band rehearsals without Liam last month. It will be the first time Liam and Noel have played music together and performed together since 2009 - and comes just a month before they will hit the stage for fans in a giant UK tour. Liam told fans he was feeling 'biblical' but said he would not be posing for photos outside the rehearsal studios. He said: 'You won't see me I'm not a poser, I'll be in and out.' He also told another fan: 'I'm fine, loving life, how about you?' The first photos of the band leaving rehearsals in London were published in May. They showed Noel Gallagher, Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, Gem Archer and Andy Bell who will play guitars in the massive sold out gigs, with Andy on bass. The band also has new members in keyboard player Christian Madden and drummer JoeyWaronker on drums. He has played with Liam before on a tour but never in Oasis. Noel and Liam will walk on stage for the first time together in public, since the band split nearly two decades ago, on July 4 at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. There will also be dates in Manchester, London and Dublin as part of the tour. Noel, 57, quit the Manchester rock group on August 28 2009, saying he "simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer", and the brothers had made negative comments about each other for more than a decade. That all changed with the announcement of the tour in August last year. The pair posed for several photos together confirming the band's long-awaited reunion on Tuesday, saying: "The great wait is over." In April Live Forever by Oasis was crowned the best British song of all time in a new poll ahead of the band's highly-anticipated reunion tour this summer. The Manchester band led by Noel and Liam Gallagher had an incredible 16 tracks in the top 100 results by Radio X. As well as Live Forever, 'Don't Look Back In Anger,' 'Slide Away' and 'Champagne Supernova' also made the top 10. It was Radio X's 10 th annual Best Of British with B&Q poll. ENDS

Nineties anthem from iconic rock band is crowned the best British song of all time
Live Forever by Oasis has topped a new poll to find the best British song of all time. The 1994 anthem is not the only track from the Manchester band to feature in the Radio X's 10th annual Best Of British with B&Q poll. Don't Look Back In Anger, Slide Away and Champagne Supernova also made the top 10 whilst the band have 16 songs overall in the full 100 list. Live Forever beat some rock classics to be crowned the winhner, including Queen's iconic 1975 track Bohemian Rhapsody which earned second spot for the second year running. Oasis' Slide Away is third, just ahead of The Stone Roses' I Am The Resurrection in fourth whilst Oasis' Champage Supernova makes up the top five. The Rolling Stones ' Gimme Shelter, Sam Fender 's Seventeen Going Under, Arctic Monkeys' 505 and Amy Winehouse 's Back To Black make up the rest of the top 10. Oasis' new accolade comes just three months before the band reunite for their hugely anticipated comenback tour. The Oasis Live 25 tour kicks off on 4 July at Cardiff's Principality Stadium before playing sell-out gigs at Manchester's Heaton Park, Wembley Stadium in London, and Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium. The pair will then embark on a global tour, taking in shows in Japan, Argentina, the United States and Brazil. Noel and Liam have reportedly secured themselves an even bigger payday from their Oasis reunion tour this summer, after landing a multimillion merchandising deal. The brothers are reported to have banked themselves a staggering £20million from Warner for the rights to their image. The agreement allows for their likeness to be used on a wide range of merchandise for fans to buy at their shows, which are set to begin in just three months time. And going one step further, Noel and Liam have allegedly taken legal protections to impede counterfeit sellers trying to flog knock-off merch and steal their profits. According to The Sun, the two musicians filed documents at the Intellectual Property Office last month to trademark the now-famous black and white photo they used to announce their comeback. The move gives them sole rights to the image, thereby preventing any unauthorised use, with bootleggers unable to use the snap for unofficial merchandise such as clothing, books and even paintbrushes. A source told the publication: 'Oasis have secured a massive deal for their merch this summer as they know everyone is going to want something to remember the shows by. They have already started working on an extensive merchandise range after signing a very lucrative deal for it last year. 'But now they are massively cracking down on fake merch because it could seriously put a dent in their profits unless they make moves now to stop it. 'They have made it clear that they won't be taking any nonsense and will use the full extent of the law if they find anyone selling unofficial products featuring the new photo of the brothers together.' Noel recently admitted he was surprised by the huge demand for tickets to the upcoming shows and the resulting chaos, which saw fans waiting in queues for hours and tickets sold out in a matter of minutes. Speaking to photographer Kevin Cummins for his new book Oasis: The Masterplan, he admitted: 'I thought it'd be a big deal, but I was a bit taken aback by just how much of a big deal it was'. 'I didn't have a choice': The Wanted star Max George gives candid health update after 'sensation in chest'
Max George has given fans a fresh health update after undergoing shock heart surgery. The Wanted star has revealed he had a second operation weeks after getting fitted with a pacemaker after it caused a 'flickering sensation' in his chest. The 36-year-old had the device, which helps control the heart rate, fitted in December. Speaking to The Sun On Sunday, George said: "I thought I was on the road to recovery but when I was told I needed a second operation I was nervous, as pulling the pacemaker wires out of the heart wall risks bleeding on the heart. READ MORE: Tragedy of girl, 7, snatched by a monster as she slept in a tent in the garden. Now he wants freedom READ MORE: 'Prettiest and most isolated' UK town where nearest shop is 40 minutes away 'I didn't have a choice, though. I had to have it done.' He added: 'I was trying to get back to good health but was still having a flickering sensation for weeks after I had my pacemaker fitted and it was gradually getting worse and worse. When my heart rate went up, it was causing a shock in my heart which was making me jump all the time. My chest was shaking.' George said he felt 'really nervous' the night before the surgery, adding: 'I didn't sleep much. I was worried it could go wrong again and felt anxious that it could bleed out.' He said he was not allowed to listen to music during the first operation, when he had the pacemaker fitted, but was able to during the second. 'Obviously an operation is a scary thing, but the music really helped and the nurse was reassuring,' he said. 'Slide Away (Oasis) started to play and I tried to take myself into my own world', he said. 'Afterwards I was just pleased it had gone successfully.' Salford-born George previously revealed he would be having a lung biopsy, a procedure that involves a small piece of lung tissue being removed and sent to a laboratory to be examined and checked for abnormal cells, according to the NHS. Speaking about this, he said: 'The doctor did warn me there is a small chance that I could lose my voice. That was pretty worrying, but I decided I needed to take the risk. The biopsy was pretty gnarly, it's a camera with prongs on the end that goes down your throat. 'It was painful. The recovery was tough, I had chest pain and was coughing up blood for five days.' The singer has also spoken about the support he has received from friends and family as well as his partner, Maisie Smith, whom he met while competing on Strictly Come Dancing. 'The worst part for me is seeing my parents go through this,' he said. 'My mum has found it traumatic. I've tried to hold back from being upset in front of them. I feel helpless and responsible. 'It's been lovely to have Maisie here with me at home. She got me an Apple watch for Christmas so I can monitor my heart rate. She's been a great nurse and is very affectionate. 'Recovery has been a slow process, I'm trying to increase my walking every day – taking my dog Albert out and doing an hour on the treadmill daily. I was really fit before this all happened and now I'm the least fit I've ever been.' Reflecting further on the health issues he has faced, he said: 'It plays on my mind, why this happened to me. 'I had a full heart scan a year before for a TV show I was doing and it was fine, so it doesn't make sense. I don't drink alcohol and I don't smoke, so it's mind-boggling. 'It's been four-and-a-half years since I last drank alcohol – it was life-changing for me, it just suited me better. Don't get me wrong, sometimes when I'm down the pub watching football I am absolutely gasping for a pint, but I think it's become a way of life now. 'Since this happened, though, I have thought, as long as I am balanced there is nothing wrong with me having a couple of pints of Guinness now and again. I have said to my dad that when I'm better we should go to the pub – I think I've earned it.' The singer previously said his pacemaker was the 'the best Christmas present' and shared a photo on Instagram of his scar. It sits just below a 'special tattoo' on the left side of his chest that says 04/08/1998, in reference to the birthday of his late bandmate Tom Parker, who died in 2022.
