Janitor arrested at a Wisconsin high school in connection with child exploitation investigation

SLINGER, Wis. (WFRV) – A 27-year-old janitor at a Wisconsin high school was arrested Thursday morning for allegedly uploading unlawful images on the internet. According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, the man was taken into custody at Slinger High School as part of an ongoing Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The possible suspect was identified as a Town of Trenton man, prompting the Washington County Sheriff's Office to launch a formal investigation. Investigators obtained a search warrant for the suspect's residence, which was set to be executed early Thursday morning. Before serving the warrant, deputies learned the suspect had left his residence and was in the Slinger area. His vehicle was located at Slinger High School a short time later. Detectives communicated with school authorities and the Slinger Police Department and learned that the man was employed as a janitor through a contracted cleaning service. The suspect had been working at the school for the past eight weeks, but Thursday was his first day assigned to the day shift. Prior to that, he had worked after school hours. Investigators monitored the suspect on school surveillance cameras and took him into custody without incident. At this time, the release states there is no evidence to suggest that there are any local victims or that local students were targeted.
