Plan for eco-friendly smart garage under Smart City initiative unveiled
Jaipur: Under the Smart City 2.0 initiative, JMC-H has announced plans for the Adarsh Garage project in Jaipur. With an allocated budget of Rs 7 crore, the project, still in its design phase, will be constructed on about 1000 sq metres near the Brahmpuri Sewage Treatment Plant and will be retrofitted with eco-friendly technology, featuring EV charging points and rooftop solar panels to optimise energy usage.
The structure will comprise a basement for large vehicles, ground level for hoppers and small vehicles, and the first floor will house driver amenities and administrative offices."This could become the country's first smart garage where parking, EV charging, and driver facilities will all be available under one roof. If additional funding is approved, this project could serve as a national model," stated Rajat Vishnoi, chairperson of the JMC-H Public Vehicle further noted that the facility will exclusively accommodate electric vehicles to reduce air pollution during both construction and operational phases. Private companies are being consulted, and building work will commence following final authorisations.
