Middle River man fatally shot wife in Odenton before killing self in NJ, police say
Anne Arundel County police are investigating the deaths of a Middle River woman and her estranged husband after a shooting Monday in Odenton.
Officers found 45-year-old Monyette Marie Stephenson suffering from a gunshot wound at a private bus business on the 1800 block of Bucklina Avenue around 10:13 a.m. Monday, according to a news release from the police department. When medics arrived on the scene, they pronounced her dead.
After reviewing surveillance footage, officers identified the suspect in the case as Trimall Stephenson, 48, an employee of Smith Bus Service and the woman's estranged husband.
When New Jersey State Police officers approached the suspect at a rest stop, he 'turned a firearm on himself and ended his own life,' the release says.
Anne Arundel County and New Jersey State Police are working together on the investigation.
