4th annual SML Gives 2025 kicks off this March
MONETA, Va. (WFXR) – The Countdown for the Smith Mountain Lake Gives 2025 online giving event is on for its fourth year.
SML Gives Nonprofit Fair is kicking off on March 16 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Moneta. This will be a free event with local nonprofits, to discover volunteer opportunities, and a chance to learn about the needs within the community.
The SML Gives is the only online event to help local nonprofits that serve in the SML area in efforts to unite the community and supporting 36 participating organizations.
The goal is to raise $200,000 to fund the programs and services.

Consider the following if you want to participate in the SML Gives 2025:
Visit on March 19 to explore nonprofit profiles and their missions
Donate securely to the causes closest to your heart
Spread the Word—share the event with friends and family using #SMLGives to maximize community impact
Visit the nonprofit fair on March 16th to learn more about the participating nonprofits
This year's main sponsor is Centra along with other sponsors.
Since SML Gives started, they have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local organizations to serve children, families, and other individuals in need.
