2025 Owensboro Burger Week winners announced
OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) — After a 9-day competition, the winners of the 2025 Owensboro Burger Week have been announced.
What started in 2021 as a way to bring support back to local restaurants following the COVID-19 pandemic, has become an annual tradition with more participants each year.

Throughout the week, a panel of burger experts taste test each entry to determine the overall champion. Previous winners include J's Good Grub, Basil's Food Truck and Windy Hollow Biscuit House.
The 2025 Burger Week winner is the 'Smoked Pimento Cretzel Burger' from Niko's Bakery and Café. This burger is served on a house-made combination of a croissant and a pretzel, with smoked pimento cheese, sweet picked peppers and fresh lettuce.
In 2024, a people's choice award was introduced which allowed local foodies a chance to award their favorite burger in the competition. The first people's choice winner was Kim's Diner.
Holding the crown for another year, the 2025 German American People's Choice winner is the 'Sweet and Spicy Bacon Jammy Burger' from Kim's Diner. The burger is described as a double-bacon burger with pepper jack cheese, topped with a sweet and spicy bacon jam.
City officials made a surprise appearance to the restaurants on Wednesday morning to present the awards to its staff.
