‘Ente Keralam' expo kicks off in Kannur
Minister for Registration, Museums and Archaeology Ramachandran Kadannappally on Friday inaugurated the 'Ente Keralam' Exhibition and Marketing Fair at the Kannur Police Ground. Speaking on the occasion, he said Kerala had achieved development excellence under the second Left Democratic Front government.
The week-long event is being organised as part of the government's fourth anniversary celebrations.
'The strength of Kerala lies in its resilience and unity. The State has made strides in all sectors and has become a national model,' the Minister said, adding that a formal declaration of Kerala as an extreme poverty-free State would be made soon.
Mr. Kadannappally also released 'Smritiyunarthi Museums', a documentary prepared by the District Information Office, on the occasion.
The exhibition features over 250 stalls, including 151 theme stalls, and 100 commercial ones, covering 52,000 square feet.
A dedicated 2,500-sq. ft. Information and Public Relations department theme pavilion and special segments for tourism, agriculture, KIIFB, start-ups, and public works are the key highlights.
Presiding over the function, K.K. Shailaja, MLA, said Kerala's development model stood out globally for its inclusivity and sustainability. 'We have achieved what many countries have not,' she noted, highlighting the progress in road infrastructure, hospitals, and universities.
