At the same time, another track on the album is widely considered to be about her ex-boyfriend Matt Healy, who is the frontman of the band The 1975. Swift and Healy had a brief fling in 2023 that reportedly lasted for just one month. Nevertheless, the whirlwind romance still had such an impact on the "Karma" singer that she supposedly wrote a song about him. In the hit "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart," Swift sings: "Sometimes, I wonder if you're gonna screw this up with me / But you told Lucy you'd kill yourself if I ever leave / And I had said that to Jack about you, so I felt seen / Everyone we know understands why it's meant to be / 'Cause we're crazy."
