Twin Cities weekend: Onstage first dates, Girl Scout cookie beer, Disney trivia
Single and ready to mingle? Take a unique approach to dating Friday night at Funny Bachelors, where participants go on first dates in front of a live audience while comedians weigh in.
How it works: If you opt in to the dating pool, the self-proclaimed comedy dating show/social experiment could randomly select you to meet a fellow attendee on stage as a panel of comedians riff on your date.
The comedians will do a set before the dates begin, and after the show, there's a casual singles mixer for "offstage connections."
Friday, March 28 from 7-10pm at Forgotten Star Brewing Co. in Fridley. $31.95
Plus: If you want to be on stage but aren't single, Sociable Cider Werks is hosting Pitch-A-Friend on Friday, where participants prepare a 3- to 5-minute slideshow about how great their friend is and why the audience should date them. A singles mixer follows.
Advance sign-ups required for presenters. Free to attend, $5 to pitch
