Liam Gallagher stuns fans by claiming Oasis won't perform fan-favourite
Liam Gallagher has left Oasis fans stunned by claiming the Britpop legends won't be including 'Acquiesce' in their 'Oasis Live '25 Tour' setlist. Frontman Liam and guitarist Noel Gallagher are set to perform together for the first time in 16 years at rehearsals on Tuesday (03.06.25) - ahead of the tour kicking off on July 4 in Cardiff. Responding to a fan on X, Liam confirmed; "Yes Rasta D I'm in Tuesday to blow there minds (sic)." Liam has also been answering fans' questions about what songs will be played by the band. He confirmed that 'Rock N Roll Star' is "getting played". However, 'Acquiesce', which Liam performed at his solo shows with female backing singers, didn't make the cut. One fan asked: "You gonna sing Acquiesce with Noel at the Heaton park gigs for us Liam?" To which, Liam replied: "That's not on the list, sorry." Disappointed fans chimed in: "You can't do this to us." Another wrote: "Better get it sorted Liam be a lot of disappointed fans if that don't make the set. Wonderwall can do one." It is, however, worth taking everything Liam says on X with a pinch of salt. 'Acquiesce' was the B-side to Oasis' first UK number-one single, 1995's 'Some Might Say', and featured dual vocals from the Gallagher brothers. Oasis split in 2009, when Noel left the band over a backstage fight with his sibling at Rock en Seine festival in Paris. He said in a statement at the time: 'People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.' However, the Gallagher siblings thrilled fans last year, when they announced Oasis' comeback after 15 years. They wrote on X: 'The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised."

Oasis start rehearsals for Live 25 reunion tour without Liam Gallagher
Oasis have kicked off their band rehearsals in preparation for what's being dubbed the most significant UK tour in decades. However, fans of the band will be shocked (or maybe not) to find out that Liam Gallagher was not there. The band has initiated sessions in the rehearsal room, with both Gallagher brothers reportedly having pieced together a practice setlist. Revelations about the sessions emerged on X, previously known as Twitter, courtesy of Liam, while sources close to the band last month confirmed to the Mirror that plans were set for May rehearsals. We're pleased to confirm official rehearsals commenced on Tuesday, May 20. From superstar gigs to cosy pubs, find out What's On in Wales by signing up to our newsletter here . When queried whether the band had begun their rehearsals, Liam affirmed: "YES and apparently they're sounding EPIC." One social media user asked when he was going to start rehearsing, to which he replied: "I'll pop my head round the door in a few wks" He further assured another fan of a "no themes" approach on stage, in contrast to his last Definitely Maybe solo tour, which featured oversized items from the album cover. With one member joining the Gallagher siblings and Oasis for the first time, the group could certainly use the practice sessions. Newcomer Joey Waronker is roped in for drumming duties, after previously touring with Liam during live gigs with John Squire following their collaborative album. He'll be joining Oasis stalwarts like guitarists Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell, and of course, the Gallaghers themselves. Noel and Liam are set to share the stage for the first time since Oasis split in 2009, with a much-anticipated performance on July 4 and July 5 at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. When asked why they decided to kick the tour off in the Welsh capital, Liam said "Because Cardiff is the b*****". You can read more here. Special guests on the tour include Richard Ashcroft and Cast, who have been longstanding friends of the band. You can find everything you need to know about the Oasis gigs, including if you can still get tickets, here. Noel recently opened up in a new book regarding the overwhelming demand for tickets for the Oasis Live 25 tour. Speaking to photographer Kevin Cummins, he shared: "I thought it'd be a big deal, but I was a bit taken aback by just how much of a big deal it was." When prompted to pick his favourite Oasis track, Noel responded: "Can I have more than one? Supersonic, Some Might Say, Live Forever and Rock'n'Roll Star." Liam, on the other hand, revealed that he was the one to make the initial move towards reconciliation. On Twitter, when asked who made the first call, Liam confessed: "I called him but don't tell anyone as I don't want folk thinking I'm a soft lad and stuffs keep it between me n you cheers x." Regarding the legacy of Oasis, Noel expressed indifference, stating emphatically: "I truly, truly couldn't give a f**k about that. I live in the here and now and right now today, I'm happy with what I've done and indeed, what I'm doing." Can you still get tickets for Oasis in Cardiff? There was incredibly high demand for Oasis tickets with the gigs selling out very quickly. While you can still get your hands on Oasis tickets, they are not going to be cheap. Both nights are totally sold out on SeeTickets. At Viagogo the cheapest ticket for the first night in Cardiff starts at £310, find out more here and for the second night, £296, find out more here. VividSeats is selling tickets for the first night beginning at £409, find out more here, and £454, find out more here, for the second night. Sites such as Viagogo and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. Viagogo and Vividseats disclaimer Sites such as Viagogo and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs. Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double-check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale - such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation - to ensure a smooth live event experience. Tickets could be voided if they were found to be bought second-hand. As a result, fans are buying at their own risk. With that said, Viagogo also commented: "Viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the guarantee." Additional Oasis tickets may also become available from some official retailers in the near future. Some of these websites, including Ticketmaster, initially sold out, but could potentially release additional tickets in the upcoming weeks and months. A more consistent ticket option, however, is the VIP and hospitality tickets are available from Seat Unique. This experience-led website offers specialised gig tickets, which include complimentary food and drink, early gig access, after-parties, and more. Here's the links:

Oasis kickstarts rehearsals as Liam Gallagher makes huge announcement to fans
Oasis have begun their band rehearsals ahead of the biggest and most anticipated UK tour in decades. The band, minus frontman Liam Gallagher, have started work in the rehearsal room with Liam and brother Noel having seemingly put together a set list for them to work through. The news has been revealed on X, formerly twitter, by Liam and insiders close to the band confirmed last month to the Mirror that plans were for rehearsals to begin in May. We can now reveal official rehearsals began on Tuesday (May 20). Asked if the band had started rehearsals, Liam said: 'YES and apparently they're sounding EPIC.' He also told another fan there would be 'no themes' on stage, after his last Definitely Maybe solo tour had featured giant sized objects from the album cover. The band may need some practice as it features one member playing with the Gallagher brothers and Oasis for the first time. Liam and Noel Gallagher are bringing in newcomer Joey Waronker on drums alongside more established former Oasis band members on guitars. The full line up is expected to be Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher, Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Joey Waronker. Joey has played on a tour with Liam before when he did live gigs with John Squire to promote and album they made. Noel and Liam will walk on stage for the first time together since the band split in 2009 on July 4 at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. The shows will also feature special guests Richard Ashcroft and Cast, who are friends up the band. In April Noel broke his silence in a new book to talk about the Oasis Live 25 tour. On the demand for tickets, Noel told photographer Kevin Cummins: "I thought it'd be a big deal, but I was a bit taken aback by just how much of a big deal it was.' He was also quizzed to name his favourite Oasis song but replied: "Can I have more than one? Supersonic, Some Might Say, Live Forever and Rock'n'Roll Star." Liam has previously said it was him that reached out first. Asked on Twitter who called first, Liam said: "I called him but don't tell anyone as I don't want folk thinking I'm a soft lad and stuffs keep it between me n you cheers x." Noel also insisted he doesn't care about the legacy of the band. He replied: "I truly, truly couldn't give a f**k about that. I live in the here and now and right now today, I'm happy with what I've done and indeed, what I'm doing." Speaking in Buddy Holly: Words Of Love - a book that celebrates the life of the late rock and roll musician and songwriter who died in the Fifties, he added: "Buddy teaches us to keep it simple. You don't need fancy chords or obtuse lyrics. Buddy's songs are direct, short and to the point."
