Dave Franco and Alison Brie are too close for comfort in Together trailer

Relationship getting a little stale? Here's a hot new tip: move to a sleepy town and fuse your flesh with your partner. Like, literally. If that doesn't work, the whiskey and chainsaw session you'll need to get yourselves apart is sure to reignite the spark! Okay, that may not have been exactly what Millie's (Alison Brie) couple's counselor (Damon Herriman) had in mind when he told her that 'complacency can sometimes simply be harmony.' Regardless, some light Cronenbergian fusing seems like it will be either the solution or final nail in the coffin (literally) for Millie and her boyfriend, Tim's (Dave Franco), current woes. Together's official synopsis reads: 'Years into their relationship, Tim (Franco) and Millie (Brie) find themselves at a crossroads as they move to the country, abandoning all that is familiar in their lives except each other. With tensions already flaring, a nightmarish supernatural encounter with a mysterious, unnatural force threatens to corrupt their lives, their love, and their flesh.' This one clearly isn't for the weak-stomached. You may even want to approach the trailer with caution, especially if you enjoy sleeping next to your partner without worrying about having a very uncomfortable conversation about personal boundaries the next morning. It's a talk real-life spouses Franco and Brie had while making the film. 'We joked this either ends in divorce or we're more co-dependent than ever. Luckily it was the latter,' Franco told Deadline when the film premiered earlier this year at Sundance. Franco previously directed Brie in 2020 thriller The Rental and 2023 rom-com Somebody That I Used To Know, but the two aren't trying to stick their careers too closely to each other's. 'We're very selective,' Franco said. 'We don't want people seeing us on screen too often where they become sick of us.' Luckily, the Michael Shanks directorial debut 'felt right.' Neon attached itself to the film after it became a hit at Sundance. It'll premiere for the rest of us July 30 in theaters. More from A.V. Prince Andrew accuser Virginia Giuffre's haunting final words before tragic suicide

Virginia Giuffre, the woman who accused Prince Andrew of sexual abuse, tragically took her own life at her farm in Western Australia. But just weeks before her death, she hauntingly expressed that she was "ready to go". The 41-year-old had been battling for years to bring those she claimed had abused her through Jeffrey Epstein to justice. Her death on Friday is currently under investigation by the WA Police, but it is considered "not suspicious". Ms Giuffre's passing followed a challenging period, marked by her acrimonious separation from her spouse of over two decades, Robert Giuffre, whom she had credited with helping her escape Epstein's grasp. As per her father, Sky Roberts, she was in the midst of a 'messy' divorce. Earlier this month, Ms Giuffre was set to appear in court following allegations of domestic abuse, stemming from an alleged violation of a restraining order when she texted her estranged husband in February. Five days after her scheduled appearance, she posted her final Instagram story - first a link to Gotye's breakup song Somebody That I Used To Know then a black screen with no words, only a broken heart emoji pinned to her profile. In the previous month, Ms Giuffre had raised concerns among her followers by sharing a photo from a hospital bed, displaying severe bruising. She claimed to have been involved in a car accident with a school bus. She wrote: "I'm ready to go," while pleading to see her children "one last time." She also claimed to have acute kidney failure. However, the police minimized the severity of the crash, and she was discharged from the hospital shortly thereafter. Last night, an attorney representing the victims of Epstein expressed no shock at Giuffre's decision to take her own life, considering the suffering she underwent. Spencer Kuvin, a lead lawyer, conveyed to the Sunday Mirror : "Sadly, we often witness that sexual abuse leaves lasting scars that never fully heal. Abuse victims never truly recover from what has transpired. "The weight of these scars can be overwhelming for some, leading them to make tragic choices like Ms Giuffre. Despite her remarkable strength and resilience, she fought valiantly against her wealthy and powerful abusers. "It is both saddening and not surprising that she ultimately chose to end her life to alleviate her suffering." Another survivor of Epstein's crimes, lured in as a teenager near his estate in Palm Beach, Florida, relayed her fury about the lack of justice for Ms Giuffre. She said: "When I woke to learn of Virginia's death, I just sat there and cried. "Not just for her but because it feels like this was always going to happen. They broke her. They chipped away at her spirit piece by piece, year after year. And the people who should have been held accountable, the men who smiled and shook hands with Jeffrey, the ones who used girls like us like we were disposable - they have never paid." Ms Giuffre played a pivotal role in the downfall of Epstein, alleging that as a teenager, she was trafficked to some of the world's most influential men, including Prince Andrew . Giuffre claimed that she was flown across the globe to engage in sexual encounters with the Royal and other individuals, at times when she was still considered a minor according to US law. In explicit civil court documents submitted in August 2021 in New York, Ms Giuffre charged Andrew with sexual misconduct on three occasions. Andrew, aged 65, has resolutely rejected these claims, stating he does not recall ever encountering his accuser and notably during an infamously unsuccessful BBC interview in 2019. This interview occurred only three months after to the suicide of his associate Epstein , who took his life while detained in a New York prison cell on charges involving the trafficking of minors for sex. In early 2022, Andrew reached a settlement in Virginia Giuffre's civil lawsuit against him for an undisclosed amount reported to be close to £12 million. In the agreement, he recognised her as an "victim of abuse" and acknowledged Epstein's role in trafficking countless young women. The prince, however, did not concede any personal wrongdoing . Ms Giuffre's bravery in coming forward resulted in the establishment of SOAR (Speak Out, Act, Reclaim), an organisation she initiated in 2015 to support survivors of sex trafficking. Her unwavering perseverance brought attention to a hidden international exploitation ring protected by wealth and power. She leaves behind three children, who she often referred to as "the light of her life."

Prince Andrew accuser Virginia Giuffre's heartbreaking last social media posts

Virginia Giuffre's final posts on social media have been shared, including a link to a sad song and a final post after an car crash in which she claimed to have been seriously injured Sex trafficking victim Virginia Giuffre 's final posts on social media included a link to a sad break up song and a post in which she lamented the 'worst start to a new year' before her death. The 41-year-old was found dead at her farm in Neergabby, Western Australia, last night as her family confirmed she took her own life. Ms Giuffre was one of the most outspoken accusers of convicted sex offenders Jeffrey Epstein and his former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell and claimed they trafficked her when she was 17. She alleged they trafficked her to the Duke of York when she was 17, which Prince Andrew has strenuously denied. ‌ ‌ Her final posts on her social media account included a link to Gotye's song Somebody That I Used To Know earlier this month, as well as black screen without a caption. Her last post from three weeks ago showed her injured in hospital after a car crash in which she claimed she had only four days to live. The post read: 'This year has been the worst start to a new year, but I won't bore anyone with the details but I think it important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km as we were slowing for a turn that no matter what your car is made of it might as well be a tin can. 'I've gone into kidney renal failure, they've given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology. I'm ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time, but you know what they say about wishes.' In the wake of the crash Western Australian Police described the crash as minor, with no major injuries reported. Born in Sacramento, California, Ms Giuffre was one of the earliest voices calling for criminal charges against Epstein and his enablers. The campaigner also provided critical information to law enforcement, which contributed to the investigation into and later the conviction of Maxwell. Earlier the family said in a statement: 'It is with utterly broken hearts we announce Virginia passed away last night at her farm in Western Australia. She lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking. "Virginia was a fierce warrior in the fight against sexual abuse and sex trafficking. She was the light that lifted so many survivors. In the end, the toll of abuse is so heavy it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight."

How Virginia Giuffre's life turned to hell after Prince Andrew's multi-million pound payout: From messy marriage breakdown to bizarre bus crash and spate of hospital admissions

Virgiania Giuffre's tragic life crashed around her ears after she recieved a multi-million pound payout from Prince Andrew. The 41-year-old trafficking victim, whose suicide was announced by her family this morning, released a slew of troubled social media posts in the months leading up to her death. Her final post revealed she was hospitalised and claimed she only had four days to live after a bizarre bus crash - which police later said was minor and caused less than £1,000 damage. Giuffre had been charged with breaching a family violence restraining order just days before and was listed to appear in court less than two days after she was released from hospital. She was due to appear in court to enter a plea on June 11. It came after a brutal break-up from her estranged husband of 22 years, with a bitter battle for custody over access to their children. According to her father Sky Roberts, she was going through a 'messy' divorce and no longer lived with Robert at their £900,000 beachside mansion in Perth, Australia. She later returned to Instagram to share a link to break-up song Somebody That I Used To Know, by Australian artist Gotye, followed by a blank story, which had a broken heart emoji as its title. Giuffre claimed she was sexually abused by Prince Andrew at the behest of Epstein's ex-girlfriend, jailed British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, when she was just 17, which the Prince denies. The Duke of York was forced to pay out a settlement reportedly worth around £12 million after Ms Giuffre alleged that paedophile Epstein trafficked her across the world to have sex with the prince. He has denied ever having sex with her. She had alleged he sexually assaulted her three times, in London during a 2001 trip, at Epstein's New York mansion when she was 17 and in the Virgin Islands when she was 18. Andrew repeatedly denied her allegations and has said he can't recall ever meeting her, although a photograph of them together in a London townhouse, his arm around her bare midriff, was included in Giuffre's lawsuit against him. The settlement did not involve any admission of liability on his behalf, and he denies any sexual contact with her. Giuffre, née Roberts, sparked global concern last month when she posted a photograph from her hospital bed on March 30, claiming doctors had told her she had just four days left to live. She said her car had been hit by a school bus travelling at 110km/h and the accident had left her with kidney failure. The shocking photograph showed discolouration to Giuffre's face and chest, which appeared to be severe bruising. But the bus driver Sean Munns and multiple passengers later came forward claiming the crash was nothing more than a 'minor bump.' Western Australia Police confirmed they had one recent record of a 'minor' bus and car collision with 'no reported injuries' on March 24 just after 3pm. According to reports, Giuffre admitted herself to Joondalup Hospital in the northern suburbs of Perth with a pre-existing injury after the collision but was discharged the following day. The following week Giuffre was brought to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, also in Perth, by ambulance and was seeking treatment for pain. Three days after the picture emerged, a spokesman for Giuffre said she had 'made a mistake' and had not intended to share the post publicly. On April 7 she was discharged from Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth after a week-long stay. The following day she was spotted by Daily Mail Australia photographer where she flipped her middle finger as her brother Danny Wilson drove off in their £70,000 Chevrolet Silverado. Giuffre had been living alone at her £600,000 country property after splitting from her husband. While he had initially joined the towns social media pages, posting about his wish to keep bees and plant native trees, he is now living 40 miles away at their Perth beach house with their three children. She bought the 40-acre home, surrounded by barbed wire fences and high-tech CCTV, after the settlement from the Duke of York. The mother-of-three had previously admitted that her profile was 'a lot' for her teenage chilren to carry, and there were rumours that she had also become estranged from them in the run up to her death. Giuffre was accused of breaching a family violence restraining order at the family home, and was due to enter a plea in June. 'You don't know the half of it,' one neighbour told the Mail earlier this month. 'I can't really say anymore, but none of this surprises me.' The pair had met in Thailand while Giuffre was on a massage training course, paid for by Epstein, and were married two weeks later. Originally born in Florida, she and Robert moved to Australia in 2019 prior to Epstein being arrested. Two days before the car crash, on March 22, Giuffre posted a sun-dappled picture of her children on a beach, accompanied by an apparent desperate plea to see them. 'My beautiful babies have no clue how much I love them and they're being poisoned with lies,' she posted. 'I miss them so very much. I have been through hell and back in my 41 years but this is incredibly hurting me worse than anything else. 'Hurt me, abuse me but don't take my babies. My heart is shattered and every day that passes my sadness only deepens.' In the post from her hospital bed a week later, Giuffre said: 'I've gone into kidney renal failure, they've given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology.' 'I'm ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time. My heart is shattered and every day that passes my sadness only deepens.' It was not the first time that Giuffre had been hospitalised, after a series of accidents resulted in her needing medical treatment. In August 2020 Giuffre posted a video from hospital in Queensland in which she appears to have two black eyes and severe bruising around her neck. While she did not go into detail about her injuries, or their cause, she said she was in ICU and thanked people 'all around the world' for their support. 'I'm too tough for something like this to take me down and I got a bionic spine out of it,' she said. 'I just wanted to tell you all just how much I appreciate all your comments.' In November 2023, Giuffre was in hospital again for 'spinal surgery,' and took to social media to thank her husband for spoiling her with pancakes. Then in January 2024 she was in a quad bike accident. 'Thanks for all the love, I was trying to clock out a T-Rex for my daughter on an ATV and lost control,' she wrote. 'Thank heavens that we are both on the road to recovery.' A year later on January 9, 2025 Giuffre said she was once again in hospital. She was allegedly involved in an incident near Dunsborough, Western Australia that reportedly left her with undisclosed injuries and needing medical treatment. 'Heroic' Giuffre died by suicide at her farm, her devastated family revealed in a statement this morning. They said: 'It is with utterly broken hearts that we announce that Virginia passed away last night at her farm in Western Australia. 'She lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking. 'Virginia was a fierce warrior in the fight against sexual abuse and sex trafficking. She was the light that lifted so many survivors. 'Despite all the adversity she faced in her life, she shone so bright. She will be missed beyond measure.' Her family added that 'the light of her life' were her children Christian, Noah, and Emily. 'It was when she held her newborn daughter in her arms that Virginia realized she had to fight back against those who had abused her and so many others,' they said. The 41-year-old, born Virginia Roberts, grew to prominence after she went public with allegations against the late financier and called for charges to be brought against him. 'There are no words that can express the grave loss we feel today with the passing of our sweet Virginia,' the statement continued. 'She was heroic and will always be remembered for her incredible courage and loving spirit. 'In the end, the toll of abuse is so heavy that it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight. We know that she is with the angels.' Police confirmed emergency services received reports of an unresponsive woman at a property in the Perth suburb of Neergabby on Friday night. 'Police and St John Western Australia attended and provided emergency first aid. Sadly, the 41-year-old woman was declared deceased at the scene,' a police spokeswoman said. 'The death is being investigated by Major Crime detectives; early indication is the death is not suspicious.'
