West of England headlines: Bristol fires, police chase and phone ban

Fire crews were called to a tower block in Marybush Lane, near Castle Park in Bristol on Tuesday evening. All 188 residents living there had to leave their homes and 10 people were rescued from the fourth floor. The fire service confirmed the fire was accidental, caused by a charging e-scooter. Bristol Live kept people updated as the incident unfolded with a live using the A350 and M4 in Wiltshire faced hours of disruption on Tuesday after a police pursuit ended in a crash along the junction 17 slip road for Chippenham. Officers found guns at the scene and arrested a man on suspicion of aggravated burglary, dangerous driving and possession of firearms. Swindon Advertiser covered the Live compiled a gallery following the completion of an operation to remove five sunken boats out of the River Avon in Bath. A spokesperson from Bath and North East Somerset Council said the removal will "ensure the safety of all river users and enhance everyone's enjoyment of this iconic waterway".ITV West Country were quick to get to the scene of a fire which forced an evacuation at St Michael's Hospital in Bristol on Thursday evening. Staff, patients and babies were escorted onto the street, with some expectant mothers in labour at the time. The blaze was put out after about an hour and the fire service confirmed on Friday that it was caused accidentally due to "a fault in the solar panels". The beach also welcomes dogs all year round, making it a perfect spot for a family day out Lulworth Cove, a stunning and historic site in the West Country that dates back millions of years, is definitely worth a visit. This World Heritage Site is so renowned that it attracts visitors from across the globe. Located on the Dorset coast, it's an ideal day trip destination for people living in the south of England and a great holiday spot for people further afield. Upon arrival, you'll be moved by this ancient site, which draws geologists worldwide to study its well-preserved ancient stones and monuments. But it's not just for academics - it's also a perfect spot for a seaside day out, with inviting waters for swimming. The sight of the sea shimmering against the rocks of this ancient, atmospheric circular cove is simply mesmerising. While many prefer to bring a picnic, there are plenty of charming cafes and shops at Lulworth Cove for those who'd rather eat out. It's quite accessible by car, and people from as far as Bath make the trip just for a swim before heading home. There's ample parking at the top of a gently sloping road leading down to the beach, lined with appealing shops, pubs and ice cream stalls. A visitor centre next to the car park offers fascinating displays on how the area has changed throughout recent geological periods. Down on the beach, you can stroll around the cove and explore the rock pools revealed at low tide. On a sunny day, the beach's bright white pebbles and turquoise water give it a Mediterranean vibe. Lulworth Cove is still a hub for working fishermen, reports Somerset Live. The cove's natural shape provides excellent shelter for the small fishing boats moored here. If you've got a small inflatable boat or a kayak, you'll find the Cove generally very safe. The beach also welcomes dogs all year round, making it a perfect spot for a family day out.
