"I've been thinking of getting a new speaker for a long time and finally took the plunge. So glad that I chose this one. The sound is amazing." Whether you're a Spotify super fan or strictly a radio listener, sound quality is crucial for all music lovers. But, as with most tech, good quality speakers are hard to come by for a reasonable price. Luckily for those browsing the market for a high-tech and top-quality speaker, the Sonos Era 100 is currently 28 per cent off on Amazon. Usually retailing at £249, the shopping giant is offering a generous discount, cutting its price down to £179. Featuring next-gen acoustics and new levels of connectivity, this product can fill any room with finely tuned stereo sound and a rich bass. Its compact and sleek design is made to fit beautifully on bookshelves, kitchen counters, desks, or nightstands. Working alongside the Sonos app, the gadget allows users to stream from all their favourite services over WiFi. Those who own several of the speakers can use them both for listening to music or for watching TV or films in surround sound, ensuring an enhanced audio experience. It also allows Bluetooth pairing at the press of a button. For those with a record player, it's simple to connect the speaker to a turntable or other audio source using an auxiliary cable and the Sonos Line-In Adapter. Argos offers the Roberts Reunion Portable Bluetooth Speaker for a more affordable £79.99, which is also portable for those who want to take their tunes on the move. The Sonos 100 plugs into the mains, and so is lacking this portable feature. Sonos fans browsing a portable option may also consider the Sonos Roam SL Bluetooth Portable Speaker at £159 on Argos. But Amazon's discounted Sonos speaker is top-rated, with a strong 4.3 stars out of five. One happy shopper said: "I already own a pair of the fantastic Sonos Era 100 's that I use for listening to music in my bedroom. "Since upgrading to a Beam gen 2 soundbar for the living room TV, I had to complement it by adding another pair of Era 100's to use as my surround speakers. "And boy I'm so glad I did. They really make all the difference. The build quality is great and ease of use and connectivity. !I only have a small space to fill but the sound is perfect for movies and listening to music and to be able to group them with my bedroom speakers to have music playing throughout. Definitely a good investment." But one shopper was less impressed, saying: "I don't like to leave 1 star reviews, but I struggle to give it anything higher. Sonos have really dropped the ball. Several months ago they updated their Android app, and it stopped you being able to use Alexa on the speaker. This still hasn't been fixed over there months later.
