MLB The Show 25 Update: Latest Info On 3rd Inning Content Drop

Bernie Williams #51 of the New York Yankees swings in the 4th inning against the New York Mets at ... More Yankee Stadium on June 30, 2006 in New York. The Yankees defeated the Mets 2-0. (Photo by) Sony San Diego revealed a ton of new content on Friday. It is mostly centered around the 3rd Inning Diamond Dynasty program, and while I hoped for a few splashier bosses and multiplayer rewards, SSD is continuing a stupendous year for DD with another layered release of content. Let's break it down. Former San Francisco Giants All-Star Matt Cain is back in DD. This 91-overall version can be earned at the 205,000 XP mark on the 3rd Inning path. Cain has a solid pitch mix, a 98 H/9, 90 HR/9, and Break Outlier. That's not a bad pickup as you move through the program. This time, in your first six WC games, users are getting a Weekend Classic pack after one win, seven Ballin Is a Habit packs for two wins, and an April Spotlight pack at three wins (which is big). At four wins, you can earn a Live Series player of 85 or higher. At five wins, you'll get a Weekend Classic choice pack. You get the same at six wins, but you'll also get 3,000 stubs. The matchmaking for WC will be based on the league you qualified for through the last multiplayer program. Users can earn a 92-overall Bernie Williams, Eric Gagne, or Trevor Story. It's probably going to be Williams and Gagne for me, and I'll try to grab Story for the heck of it down the line. Williams' switch-hitting and Gagne's crazy pitch mix make this an easy decision for me. To give users a bit of a push to start the 3rd Inning grind, SSD began Double XP Days, which also impacts PXP, on May 9. This will extend until 3 p.m. ET on May 13. The latest content update also delivered new City Connect uniforms for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Miami Marlins. In addition to the new uniforms, users will also see updated player models for Tyler Alexander, Tink Hence, Jose Leclerc, Orion Kerkering, Jung Hoo Lee, Christian Yelich, Joseph Ortiz, and Ryan Helsley. During the teaser video for Eric Gagne, there is a pan-up shot of what appears to be a left-handed hitter in a Giants uniform. There's another shot that shows the outline of a '2' on a uniform, as if it could be Bonds' 'No. 25.' As it turns out, the player shown is current Giants third baseman Matt Chapman. However, I don't think it is an accident or coincidence that this trailer has these shots. If you understood how much scrutiny trailers receive before they're released to the public, you'd understand why I'm asking this question. In any case, we're still waiting for the greatest player of all time to make it to The Show.

MLB The Show 25: How To Complete Easter Egg Mystery Missions & Program

MLB The Show 25 If you're like me, you've been enthralled with MLB The Show 25 since it released last month. I've completed every Program released except for the Easter Program and the second April Spotlight. Not to worry. I'll have both of those wrapped up by Saturday evening between watching WrestleMania 41 Day 1 and the Gabriela Fundora vs. Marilyn Badillo fight card. I'm a man of many passions and interests. One major stumbling block with the Easter Program is always the Mystery Mission. We always have to figure out what Sony San Diego is tasking us to do, and thanks to multiple sources across the internet, I've compiled the answers you seek. Let's take it from the top. How to Earn Stars in MLB The Show 25's Egg Hunt Program I recommend you start by doing the Moments challenges in the Egg Hunt Program. They're pretty easy. Thankfully, there aren't any 'get three hits and one extra-base hit' challenges. This Program uses Stars as the progression marker/currency. FEATURED | Frase ByForbes™ Unscramble The Anagram To Reveal The Phrase Pinpoint By Linkedin Guess The Category Queens By Linkedin Crown Each Region Crossclimb By Linkedin Unlock A Trivia Ladder It takes 100 Stars to complete the program and you earn an 89-overall Jazz Chisolm if you complete it. Start with the Moments (10 Stars Total) There are 9 Egg Hunt-themed Moments, and together they're worth 10 stars. You can't skip any of these if you want to complete the Program the most efficient way, and I'm not sure why anyone would want to skip arguably the easiest part. You'll get the Purple Egg for completing this part. Solve the Mystery Missions (5 Stars Each) This is the part that probably pushed you to Google the topic. As is the case every year, each mission is a riddle. If you'd rather solve the riddles than play through the Program quickly, stop reading. Everyone else, here are the answers to the riddles: Trivia Night – Register a Quality Start with Vida Blue. That means you have to pitch six or more innings with a Blue card and surrender no more than three earned runs in any Diamond Dynasty mode. I'd suggest playing Play vs. CPU on Rookie to knock this out. I usually try to stack my tasks to work on multiple programs or initiatives at once. Just make sure Blue, a switch-hitting pitcher, is your starter. Wait A Second – I don't get this one, but I know you have to win a game with Randy Johnson. That means you have to win and have The Big Unit in line to get the decision. This can be done in any DD mode. You can use Conquest, Mini Seasons, or even Diamond Quest. Woah There, Slow Down – This isn't all that hard. Register a double with a player who has a speed rating of 15 or lower. Do this in Play vs. CPU mode. Swordfish – Strike out with Mike Trout in any mode. This is pretty simple. You can do this in the Blue or Johnson game. Bat Trout leadoff, strike out on three pitches, and you've got it. Tax Season – Record 2 Holds. For those who don't know what that is, it's what happens when a relief pitcher comes in with the lead and protects it before handing over duties to another relief pitcher. You have to do this in Mini Seasons. Let's Roll – This is also pretty simple. You need to get six hits in a Diamond Quest game. Get to the Stadium challenge and play on Rookie. You may not have the greatest chance to unlock the Epic reward, but it'll be easier to get six hits. You can stack this one with Tax Season, Swordfish, Woah There, Slow Down, and Wait A Second. Big Conquest Mystery – Grab Billy Wagner, Josh Hader, Tanner Scott, or another left-handed relief pitcher (it doesn't even have to be a reliever) and record a save in a Conquest game. This one can be stacked with any previous task that can be played in any DD mode—besides Trivia Night, because that has to be in Play vs. CPU or Ranked Seasons. Small Ball – Record a Sacrifice play in Mini Seasons. I'm an avid bunter, and that's probably why people often try to bean me in the game. In any case, in Mini Seasons, lay one down to move a runner over or simply hit a sacrifice fly. Each of these earns you five stars, which will carry you a good way through the Program. Colleggtion: The Egg Collection (50 Stars) Collecting the eggs will have you mode hopping, but it is pretty fun. There are 7 eggs hidden across different game modes. You only need 5 of them to get the 50 Stars. Here's where to find them: That should get you where you want to go. Now that I've helped you, let me get back to completing my own Easter Program.
