BREAKING NEWS Mother accused of murdering three-year-old daughter Sophia Rose dies
The mum accused of murdering her three-year-old daughter has died in hospital after she was found unresponsive in a high-risk cell. Mother-of-three Lauren Ingrid Flanigan, 32, was arrested on Tuesday and charged her with murdering her three-year-old daughter Sophia. The little girl was found unresponsive with multiple injuries in the front yard of the Moore Park Beach home, on the outskirts of Bundaberg in Queensland, on Monday afternoon. Flanigan was transferred to Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre where she awaited her next court date. Just days after entering custody, Flanigan was found unresponsive in her jail cell on Friday. Queensland Corrective Services said officers attended to Flanigan before paramedics arrived and took her to hospital where she has since died overnight. more to come...

Lauren Flanigan found unresponsive in cell at Brisbane prison
The woman accused of the murder of her three-year-old daughter near Bundaberg earlier this week has been found unresponsive in her cell. The Queensland Police Service issued a statement this morning: 'Detectives from the Corrective Services Investigation Unit are investigating after a 32-year-old woman was located unresponsive while in custody at the Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre on Friday, May 30. 'There is no further information available at this time.' Lauren Ingrid Flanigan, 32, allegedly stabbed her daughter, Sophia, multiple times on the front lawn of their Moore Park Beach home on Monday afternoon. Ms Flanigan was due to front a Queensland court in July, charged with murdering her three-year-old daughter Sophia. Ms Flanigan has been transferred to hospital. Ms Flanigan's condition was not known.
