Independent Podcasters Are Making Millions and Shaking up the Podcast Business
Happy Friday, and welcome back to Soundbite. It's been a whirlwind of a week for us over here. On Wednesday, Bloomberg co-hosted the On Air Fest Podcast Business Summit, an invite-only conference that brings together executives from across the industry to discuss the pressing topics of the moment. This year, part of what I wanted to better understand was how the podcast industry is evolving to look more like the creator economy. Some of the biggest names on the podcast charts got their starts on video platforms rather than in audio, and newer entrants are competing for major talent alongside industry giants.
