Give back by giving blood. South Bend invited to police, fire blood drives
South Bend first responders invite the community to give back through blood drives hosted at their stations this month.
In collaboration with the South Bend Medical Foundation, blood drives at the St. Joseph County Jail, the South Bend Fire Department and South Bend Police Department take place on May 13, May 16 and May 20, respectively.
The process to donate one pint of blood takes 45 minutes, including rest and recovery time with drinks and snacks, phlebotomists during the 17th Annual Fallen Office Blood Drive in June of 2024 said.
