Woman killed in eastern Ontario house fire on Victoria Day
An Ontario Provincial Police logo in this undated file image. A 95-year-old woman is dead following a holiday weekend house fire in South Glengarry Township. Emergency crews responded to a call for a residential fire on Fourth Line Road in Dalhousie Mills shortly after 11 p.m. Monday. Ontario Provincial Police say the home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on the scene. Police say the victim was located deceased inside the residence by emergency personnel. A 73-year-old man was able to escape the burning home and was treated for minor injuries. The Ontario Provincial Police Crime Unit and the Ontario Fire Marshal are investigating the cause of the fire. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Detachment of the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. The fire occurred approximately 50 km east of Cornwall.

Woman, 95, found dead after residential fire in South Glengarry
The body of a 95-year-old woman has been found following a residential fire in South Glengarry Township, Ont., on Monday night. Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the fire broke out shortly after 11 p.m. in a home on Fourth Line Road. The residence was fully engulfed by the time first responders arrived, OPP said in a news release. Police said a man, 73, managed to escape the blaze with minor injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation by OPP and the Ontario Fire Marshal. The OPP's forensics unit is also assisting.
